| I don't have a clue what Mastitis is, but I sure hope Gidget starts feeling better soon! Please let us know what the vet says! |

| Well we got anibotics today and she has to go back after the puppies are weaned. She didn't have a fever and she acts fine but the bad news is there is some concern that it might be a mamm tumor and not mastits. The vet wasn't quit sure that is why he is going to re-check her in a few weeks. He said if it is mastitis we caught it right away and all is well. Lets keep our fingers crossed. I try to pay attention to wait is going on with her and the puppies. The vet says I worry to much but in this case it was a good thing since I caught it right away. |

| Sounds like you caught it really fast - good for you! It must not be too serious or they would have wanted you to wean the puppies. |

| My Emilee had mastitis in one teat one week after whelping and she had a high fever. The Vet put her on antibiotics and I could tell a difference the next day and within 3 days everything was back to normal. That was back in February. I did hear that if they develop mastitis it is likely to happen again, is this true? Best wishes to your girl.
