![]() I am so glad to hear that Joker is doing so well. Will it be possible to do surgery on him in the future to correct the problem? He sounds like such a real trooper and he's an inspiration to all of us who are not perfect! ![]()

![]() Joker is reallly doing well. He was suffering from hypoglycemia twice a week or so in the early morning but knock on wood, he hasnt had an attack for about a week now. He loves formula with honey mixed in! He really has trouble with dry food so he is still on canned. I suction his nose after most feedings because particles of the canned get in his nasal passage. He is 9 1/2 weeks now and weighs 11 ozs. He runs, spins, bites and squeeks for a bark. Here are a couple cute pictures I took of him yesterday, thought you all would enjoy!

![]() I tried a nursing bottle with no luck, the eye dropper wasnt good either. I thought about tube feeding but he did very well with a syringe. I could tell how much he got, anywhere from 4 ccs to 12 when he got bigger at a time. I just slowly pushed some formula out with a long tip syringe, at the side of the mouth pointed back to bypass his cleft.Every 2 to 3 hours, except at night he went 6 hours without food by 3 weeks. This is when he occasionally suffered from hypoglycemia. He know drinks formula still from a tiny bowl, and since I added honey he does not have attacks anymore. Hes stronger too. (this was a suggestion from a YTER) Thanks all, he is a pretty neat lil guy.

| ![]() Joker is the perfect yorkie in my opinion, haha. He's a fighter, strongwilled, determined, and cute as heck. I'm so happy he's pulling through. You are blessed to have such a baby. You deciding to raise him, shows what type of person you are...kind. I truly admire people, like you, who breed and take care of these little ones! ![]()

![]() Here's a link to hypoglycemia that contains the symptoms. All Yorkie owners (expecially breeders should be very familiar with it). Not all Yorkies have it, but a great many of them do. http://yorkieviews.com/hypoglycemia.htm
