He is the grandsire of Trace also |
you are right about not judging a book by it's cover |
I dont think it is the same dog. Ears look different to me. Also something about the nose/eyes. |
He reminds me alot of Connor when he was a pup. Is it the pup out of Parker & Jonesy or out or Riley & Natalie? If it's out of Parker & Jonesy than it's Connor's full brother or sister. I'd love to have the pup out or Riley and Natalie since Cricket didn't get large enough to breed. |

Conner is very stunning...............As for BZbobbi No they look like diffrent puppies top me to.... |
1 Attachment(s) I've never seen a different picture of Piper so it may be the picture. Isn't it odd that Tremar and Fondarosa used the same pic. I can't argue about Piper's quality, having never seen him in person. Connor got his quality from somewhere. |

I personally would not purchase from Termar or Fondarosa.. I believe if someone is going to breed for a litter of pups, they need to try to improve with each litter and I do not see either of them achieving that goal.. Plus I have not heard alot of encouraging comments concerning either one.. JMO.. |

Yes your info is correct. Trace has been diagnosed with Legg Perthes and luxating patellas in both of his knees. He is a beautiful dog and I am very bummed that I wont be able to use him in my breeding program. I guess I havent been as lucky as Tami in the fact that she has been offered a replacement dog. When I emailed Jen and Mary Lou about Trace's diagnosis, I havent ever gotten so much as a reply from them which doesnt make me too happy since I did buy 2 dogs from them and have stood up for them numerouse times on this forum. I didnt sign a contract with them, I just went on their word that they stand behind their dogs. My mistake. I hope the OP got a signed contract as I stated earlier. I got Trace for a very good price considering he had wonderful bloodlines loaded with Durrer's and I had high hopes for getting some show quality pups out of him one day. I am bummed, but things like this happen and it is always a risk when you are dealing with animals. It could happen to any of us. I am not 100% sure Legg Perthes is genetic. From what I read it is but you never know. If nothing else I have learned a valuable lesson in this even if is was a costly lesson. I will be smarter in the future. |
i am sad for you and the others i hope they take care of this it is the only right thing to do and legg is a genetic factor |

Okay so maybe I'm dense because it's finals week but I don't see why Bobbi should get a refund or replacement puppy. Does the papers say that the dog is out of Parker and Jonesy. Is the pup of the right age and healthy? The dog holds enough resemblance to Connor that it could be his brother. It has a great ear set and the face is balanced well. The coat is a bit thin but it's puppy coat and often the thinner coats grow into the nicest, thickest silk. What is wrong with this puppy that has her so upset? She paid 250. for shipping and handling so the price of the pup was 2000. That's what she agreed on and what I paid for my show/breeding stock that I have purchased from Mary Lou. Bobbi is brand new and is on her bashing a breeder but other than the fact that the pics aren't identical what is her beef? Pups change every week and look different after they've been groomed, every long time yorkie owner/ breeder knows this. Did Connor look just like he did on the website pic, no. He'd grown and was getting a bit scraggly. Was he still the show potential, healthy pup that I paid for? Yes and I consider him a great blessing. Getting ahold of quality stock when you are just starting out is almost impossible now days. Mary Lou has been very supportive of me with both my showing and breeding and I don't feel she should be judged without getting to have her say. The difficult part about breeding is not the dog end of the biz but the people end. I've been very lucky in my dealings so far but what would I do if I had a customer who wasn't going to be happy no matter what? Especially if they were on the other side of the country? All Mary Lou can do is reassure Bobbi that the dog she received is the one that she advertised and send her the papers. I guess if it can't be resolved she could always take the pup back. It's alot of trauma for the puppy so than who's the victum. I don't know Bobbi but I do know until it's settled she shouldn't be bashing someone on a public forum. |
