| I just want to thank everyone for their advice. I'm sorry for not responding to everyone but here's the scoop. I am a proud owner of two healthy and beautiful puppies, born April 9th. A c-section was suppose to be perform some time this week but she had it naturally and safely. Whew!!! What a relief! Despite Meko's tiny little size (3.5 lbs), she had both of them in about an hour without any struggle. Luckily Meko is fine because she had them earlier than expected, plus she was being babysitted by my brother and I wasn't able to experience part of the birth. I was amazed at the size of her puppies (approx: 3 inches each)which were bigger than I thought it would be. Is it too early to tell what size they would be? Anyways thanks again for everyone's help, I'll have pics up later. |

| I'm glad to hear that everything went well with the delivery of the two pups. Please keep us updated on their progress as they grow (including pics...hint, hint.) My only advice at this point would be to make sure you check their weights regularly to make sure they are gaining as they should be...they are so small that even slight variations in weight could be very dangerous, and would be undetectable just by looking at and handling them. |
