| info and help needed please i have looked sat best i can on the site to find the info i require, i have two yorkies ,the bitch who is three and a half yrs old ,and on wednesday she had to have an emergency c- section after getting caught by our male yorkie it is her first pregancy and her last, to remove a large puppy ,as the other two were still born, she has been back to the vets and he has checked her throughly nothing left inside, and temp and general health is excellent, her uterus is decreasing exactly as it should, the problem being is she wont eat i have tried everything that she should eat, puppy food, puppy kibble, her old meat, yogurt ,the only thing i can get her to eat, is our grandchildrens hot dog, and chopped ham slices, she turns her noose up at everything else, i am at my wits end, she is drinking plenty of water, i know it is only four days i was just wondering if any one has an oipinion or any info you could give me, to help her get the best nutrients into her, for the good being of her and her pup, which we will be keeping,as our own, any help would be greatly appreciated, |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | You could make a liver broth, and see if she is interested in her prior food with the broth overtop. You can try a little parmesan cheese grated over her food. You could mix in the hotdogs with healthier food to see if that entices her appetite. You could also consider healthier "hotdogs", here we have turkey hotdogs and chicken hot dogs..... Finally you could try home cooking for her. Best of luck with your gal and puppy

| One of my girls recently went off her food after a c-section. I added a good amount of chicken liver to it and she's now eating everything I put in front of her.

| My girl had a c-section 9 wks ago and she also turned down everything. Beef liver she would eat a little and cottage cheese. It takes 3-4 weeks to get the apetite back to normal. Leave food and water down 24-7 she will eat when hungry. Good luck!
