| Pregnant yorkie x-rays show nothing now what My yorkie beauty tied on December 13 and 16 she has gained a lot of weight on the belly. Nipples big and pink. Clear discharge. Use to love to play with Bentley not anymore, can't run, ext. she definitely looks pregnant even is gaining lots of weight she was 5 pounds post baby. Eating a lot. Well took her today to get X-rays and the vet said no baby's?? I asked if it was too early he said you can see them at 40 days? I know she has to be pregnant what do I do ? He said it was a false pregnancy and that happens they even get milk in false pregnancy . What do I do now. |

| It is possible she was pregnant at one point but she could have absorbed her pups or she could just be having a false pregnancy. It is very common for the female to get milk during a false pregnancy. There is nothing you can do but keep a close eye on her and pray she does not get pyometra. How old was the male that you used?

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Same thing happened to me, and she was indeed pregnant. I still have no idea why nothing showed up in the x-rays. I would treat her like she is pregnant anyway. You can always wait a bit and get another x-ray.

| When you got your X-rays nothing showed up? How far along was yours? How many puppy's did she have? I'm stressing I'll take this as a false pregnancy and not be here for the birth. I'm vary confused |

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | She was around the 40-45 day mark. I did not see the x-rays, but the vet said there was nothing there so it must be a false pregnancy. She ended up having a litter of four. Luckily, we did not believe the vet, and had everything ready for whelping just in case.

| Update I just found 2 heartbeats with my telescope I heard the mothers first and the ones I found were much faster I heard one in each side. I'm pretty much sure she is pregnant. So much luck with the vet and a waste of money😔 |

| It is too early for your babies to show up on xray...bones are not calcified yet...usually, you get xrays day 56-58 and the babies are clearly defined. You can get an ultrasound as early as 3-4 weeks and a vet that is profecient at reading ultrasounds will be able to see any babies. I would just get re-rayed at day 58 so you have an idea how large the babies are and how many to expect. |

Please tell me you aren't seriously going to let your dog whelp puppies?? Your vet told you to induce on day 62, you're telling others how to artificially inseminate their pet via YouTube and you used a telescope to hear heartbeats???

| Excuse me for misspelling the word? Btw this is a site to help ppl yes my vet said 62 days induce. Questions on that ask him he is the vet. Inseminating on YouTube that's what it is there for to learn and many ppl do it them self. If I decide to let my dog whelp it's my dog and my decision. Some ppl need to learn this site is to help. If you ain't got nothing nice to say then don't say |

I hope you are prepared to lose her, because that's a big possibility. And btw , this is a public site. I can say whatever I want, and it doesn't have to be nice, as long as it is within the TOS rules. If you don't like it, maybe you shouldn't breed your dog and not know what the heck you're doing,
