Sorry to hear about Shy. I can't be of any help but thought I'd send a note of 'All the best' and sending positive thoughts. I am sure that others with experience will be of help shortly. Get better soon Shy!! |
I just caught up on the updated post bath pictures, they are all so adorable. I hope you can figure out what is causing Shy to vomit. You seem to have zeroed in on the two issues I was thinking of when I read your post. Perhaps the switching of her food has her digestive system out of kilter or it is a reaction to the Revolution. I just love coming to see the updates and the photo's of your adorable pack. Best wishes to you all and I hope Shy is back to normal soon. |
Sooooo, Shy is doing better. She started eating more and having regular BMs. She hasn't thrown up in a couple days as far as I can find. The puppies are turning 8 weeks tomorrow, early morning. I figured I'd post a quick video. Poo Pants is coming along. A couple nights ago I noticed a little bright red blood on her posterior, so I went back to giving her lactulose. I give her a little less than her original dosage and haven't noticed it again. I'm thinking of taking some clippers to all the pups and trimming some hair, including their ears. Anyways, video here: |
They are all so cute. Glad all is going well. Maybe it's time to name them?? |
It's clear they are terrified of you! :D Adorable. Name them :) |
Adorable I love watching those happy tails wag! |
What cuuuties! I haven't seen too many yorkies with their tails intact, but now I can see why people love it so much- it's flippin adorable! Sweet bunch, ya got :) |
Yes, the tails wagging is absolutely adorable. Love full tails! |
Well, here's another quick video update: They're all doing well. I've noticed they like to chew on everything. I found paint pieces in a couple BMs... :-/ I gave them a haircut and ummm.. well you can see in the video lol |
adorable. leave the clippers to someone else tho hahahaha |

Good job with them. |
Weeeellll, update time! All is well. Poo Pants still strains to have a BM. I think I'm going to take her in and have glands glands expressed. Anywho, here's videos:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hdg...e_gdata_player And the girls...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syD4...e_gdata_player |
Oh my, they are growing up, and so darn adorable. I love love love seeing those little tails wagging, so glad you didn't dock them. So, how attached to them are you now? Can't imagine you ever letting them go. |
Well, yesterday was a good Christmas for "Fattie".... kind of. She was gifted to her new home with Dash's grandparents. I've met them a few times. My buddy's mom doesn't work and is home all of the time. They've had dogs before and will take very good care of her. Her name is Kelly now. They're having her fixed and will get her her last set of shots, as agreed to. I went over all the details with them at dinner. I said "kind of" because I feel like she's going to miss her sisters and Shy and maybe me too. I know I do. It's a little scary and I guess sad, but, she only cried once in the early morning after Shy and the other two girls and I came home. Throughout the day, via text messages, she's been having a lot of fun with Dash and moreso her new owner. I really don't want to be a breeder for certain. It just really sucks... I couldn't find a way to deal with the separation all the time. Anyways, I thought I'd update people. Here's their last picture together, Christmas morning, before we headed out. https://plus.google.com/photos/11253...05494774722768 And Kelly with one of her outfits that her new mom got her: https://plus.google.com/photos/11253...05494774722768 And my friend's mom with my little Fattie/her Kelly: https://plus.google.com/photos/11253...05494774722768 So, I guess my Christmas wasn't fun, but, someone else's was really good. I don't know... I just didn't think I'd have a problem with any of them leaving. |
Sorry it was a sad Christmas for you, but it must have been a wonderful Christmas for the pup's new owners. They have become such a big part of your life these last few months, it is understandable that it is hard to let any go. They sure are cute, and I love the pic with the ears all (almost) standing up. Sweet little girls! |
I'm new here, just stumbled on this thread. Awesome job! |
Thanks for the kudos. Shy, Poo Pants, and Baldie are doing great. I have received a few photos of Fattie/Kelly from her new mom. I'll see about emailing them to myself to post here. Poo Pants still has BM issues, but, other wise she's fine. She doesn't care for baths as much as Baldie. Hmmm... I'll post a video hopefully tomorrow. |

I love this thread--a real happy ending (ongoing)! You are such a great Yorkie dad--Shy obviously adores you. I just wanted to mention to you that my Yorkie seemed to always have issues around BMs--she would act constipated then she'd be constantly licking the area...I started taking her to the vet to check her anal glands, which were always full. Over her first year we went from having her checked and expressed every month to every few days! Her anal glands were removed once she turned 1. After the surgery the vet said that she would never have been able to express them herself--just one of those wierd things that sometimes happens. I hope Poo Pants stops having problems. Your pictures are wonderful! I wish the very best for you and your girls. |

Yeah, I have about 6 months before I deploy and I will probably have her glands removed before I do. I don't mind taking care of her while I'm here, but, it's too much work for Dash's owner to have to deal with. The vet expressed them when we went in a couple weeks ago. Anywho, here's a little clip of the two girls. Shy was being lazy and snoozing. |
OMG they get cuter every day! Do you know where you'll be going? I know I'm being nosy, but will you be taking any pups with you? I adore their tails! Right around the time we got Puff (Yorkie) one of our kitties was diagnosed with cancer in her tail so it had to be amputated. It was really cute to see Puff and the kitty together, but I would always get squeamish about kitty's tail and eventually I got that way with Puff's. Even now I try to avoid touching Puff's tail because it makes me kind of nauseous--and I'm a nurse! |
Thank you. And I know where I'll be going, but, won't be able to take them with. I'll be gone 6-8 months. They're going to be with their dad while I'me gone. I really like their tails. Sorry to hear about your cat's tail though. As another update to the girls, Fattie is doing great. I keep forgetting to send myself the pictures of her to post here. Nonetheless, Shy and the two girls I have are doing great as well. They help me stay sane! Hah! Poo Pants is having easier BM's and they're both getting better with potty training. I have switched to crate training them and it's working much better now. Today, the two girls got a haircut and a bath. I posted a few photos to my Google+ and a quick video clip to YouTube, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFJwK6hNUt4 Here's the Google+ album: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/1...05488734471313 Enjoy! |
Would love an update on your girls! |
Hi, Halo and I have spent the last hour reading this thread from beginning to end and enjoyed every page. Your puppies were (are) so adorable and so is Shy & Dash !! I, too, would like to hear an update. I had to stop breeding because I ended up with a house full of Yorkies, Sadly, they've all passed away over the years, except for Halo who is now 4 years old and the niece of my male. It's true, life IS merrier with Yorkshire terriers !! :) |
Hey folks, I'm glad you are/have enjoyed the thread. The girls are just over 6 months now. Fatty/Kelly's mom has sent the owner of Dash (HIS mom) some photos and I keep promising to post them, buuuuut, I also keep forgetting to upload them. Kelly was spayed about two weeks ago. Surprisingly, she's still almost all black coated. Poo Pants and Baldie/Fatso are turning out with a very close match to Shy and Dash's coats. I've added a couple videos here and updated the "Puppies!" folder in my Google Plus, with a few more photos. I'll post the link to the album after the YouTube video links. Everyone has their shots updated. I still have yet been able to have Shy and the other two puppies spayed. I don't mind the cost for Fatso/Baldie, I just am getting further into deployment workups. I have about 3 more months until I deploy. The workups last about 1-2 weeks, but, I have a good and responsible friend that's familiar with them, that stays at my place to watch them. Baldie/Fatso is taking after her pappy, Dash, in looks, physique, and athleticism. And she's very affectionate, just like her momma Shy. Poo Pants is nearly identical to Shy. Although, all of them have thicker hair, like Dash does. None of the girls had "silk" hair, like Shy. I've started to let the puppies out in the playground area 3-4 times per week. I also have been walking them with leash and harnesses weekly (when I'm home, i.e. I'm the only one that takes them out on leash.) Giving Baldie to my co-worker is posing more difficult the closer it gets. I don't want to separate them. Anyways, without further adieu, here is the media... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOJQF-8hAS4 Outside: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcNMBiJ2Fi0 Google Plus (sorted oldest to newest): https://plus.google.com/photos/11253...05488734471313 I hope you enjoy! |
Thanks for the updated photos of the puppies, they've grown so much and sooooo pretty ! You're a great "Yorkie Dad !!" From your previous posts, you'll be deployed soon ? Stay safe and I'd like to personally THANK YOU for defending our country !! :) |
Hello all! I just wanted to get another few updates before I deploy. We're all fine. I just took Shy, Poo Pants, and Baldie/Fatso to get spayed yesterday. I didn't put the two puppies in their kennels last night, as I didn't want them to deal with their cones AND the kennels. Instead, we all slept on the couch. If they started whining for whatever reason I could be right there and look at them. They're all doped up right now. I have a feeling that their pain med take away their appetite. I didn't dose them until after they ate some breakfast and had some water. I didn't see any of them eat when we got back yesterday. Had to make sure they did today. We will be visiting by brother and sister-in-law's place for the Fourth and seeing how they get along with their "big brothers". They have bigger dogs (Shepard mix and mastiff/ridge back mix). Shy has met them when she was younger and they did okay. Their other dog, Raven, passed not too long ago. She was a 15 year young purebred German Shepard. Very protective and especially with other dogs. Well, we all miss her, but, on the same note my girls should get along better there now too. Sounds mean- kind of, but, you know what I mean... Anyways, after that we are driving to AZ to see my other brother and his larger family. They have some smaller dogs (Chihuahua and another type of terrier, not JR). Hopefully, they all get along with one of the households very well. Otherwise, they're staying with the baby-daddy lol! I just didn't want to take them there, due to my buddy finishing a school while I'm deployed and he may get orders out of the area. I didn't want to hassle him and them with that possible issue.
