| Try to give her some yogart or scrambled egg to keep her eating, but other than that mostly sounds normal. They do go off by themselves to "nest" and rest. Temp going down is normal also as she prepares for whelp. Last edited by Amazing Yorkies; 03-03-2013 at 05:14 PM. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | I've got one about a week behind your girl. It all sounds normal as Amazing Yorkies has mentioned. With her belly getting fuller as the babies grow, she will not want to eat as much at one time. Try offering her smaller amounts of food/meals several times a day rather than the usual once or twice. My girl is spending almost all of her time in a bed under an end table between our couch & loveseat. I have no doubt she'd have her babies there if I let her............which of course I won't. At 50 days, you still have a way to go; try keeping yourself & your mind busy; is her whelping box ready, do you have all that is needed? How about the quiet space she & her pups will spend their first weeks together? Good luck to you and the mama to be. Keep us posted on her progress.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Yes, she is getting to the point where the pups are growing in these last few weeks and causing her to be uncomfortable. Her unwillingness to eat is nothing to worry about. Like lucklady mentioned just offer her smaller meals several times a day. So, are you ready ?

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Congrats ! Hope mamma and pup are doing well ! It seems that you were off on the time unless the pup is really early. Did the vet say anythng about the pup being a premi ?
