First litter please help!!! Expecting mother 50 days breed today she hasn't ate like normal and temp is 100.4 and off sleeping by herself not normal. Please help..:confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused: |
Babies move like crazy! |
Try to give her some yogart or scrambled egg to keep her eating, but other than that mostly sounds normal. They do go off by themselves to "nest" and rest. Temp going down is normal also as she prepares for whelp. |
Ok thank you I guess just worried because she is never not by my side. Lol |
Good Luck on a successful whelp! |
I've got one about a week behind your girl. :) It all sounds normal as Amazing Yorkies has mentioned. With her belly getting fuller as the babies grow, she will not want to eat as much at one time. Try offering her smaller amounts of food/meals several times a day rather than the usual once or twice. My girl is spending almost all of her time in a bed under an end table between our couch & loveseat. I have no doubt she'd have her babies there if I let her............which of course I won't. At 50 days, you still have a way to go; try keeping yourself & your mind busy; is her whelping box ready, do you have all that is needed? How about the quiet space she & her pups will spend their first weeks together? Good luck to you and the mama to be. Keep us posted on her progress. |
Yes, she is getting to the point where the pups are growing in these last few weeks and causing her to be uncomfortable. Her unwillingness to eat is nothing to worry about. Like lucklady mentioned just offer her smaller meals several times a day. So, are you ready ? |
Came home today and what do I find my baby pip with our new baby! Took her to the vet and only one. Fine with since this wasn't planned! |
Congrats ! Hope mamma and pup are doing well ! It seems that you were off on the time unless the pup is really early. Did the vet say anythng about the pup being a premi ? |
Congratulations on your newest addition! Boy or girl? |
Little boy they are doing great! |
Yep, I'd say definitely off a little on your breeding date(s). Congrats on your new little guy; glad everything went well. |
