First congratulations and I can tell you love your yorkie! Everyone just wants the best for your mommy yorkie. What is done can't be undone so just make the best of it for the safety of the "mom!" Educate yourself and please stay in contact with your vet if any problems should arise. Best of wishes for a smooth delivery and great outcome! Please let us know when the big event arrives as we all love those adorable babies!

im sorry yorkiemom1 really please dont leave those comments you dont know me or my pups if you wanna put people down then just dont say anythng i wanted more advice but i guess this is not the place because people like to make people feel bad
im going to do it wether u like it or not
i think shed be a great mom just because mabey you never saw signs of ur dogs wanting o be a mom sorry your loss but my baby i know would be so happy

Just because your not getting the advise you want dosent mean your not getting advise because you are and very good advise and your not wanting to hear it. Always think about what's best for the dogs not you and yorkiemom is doing that and she is a very very good breeder who knows what she is talking about!

her telling me not to breed my dog and spay her no mabey for some it is ok but im breeding her once before spaying her like really i can for advise on that topic not to be dicussing what infos good or not and not to hear those comments on how my dogs ganna die really common now

We just want to make sure you know the risks and the danger you are putting your dog in.

yes i know and i dont want anything to happen to my babies its only normal i love them with all my heart but one littler before getting fixed is reasonable its not like im doing it over and over and selling them and breeding her till she cant thats wrong
i want my babies and the pups that will be coming soon thanks sorry no offence but i just asked for some more advice

Also, exactly what traits are you seeing displayed in your female that indicates she "would be great with a litter"? If she has never had a litter, she does not have that frame of reference and has no idea about having puppies nor the desire to be a great mom. "What you dont know, you dont miss".

Why dont you just buy you more dogs? A lot easier and your female is not at risk. You can not leave a male and female alone for even a minute...if they tie, all she has to do is decide she is going to another part of the house, yard, crate, or even decide she does not want him back there, and she can SERIOUSLY damage him and herself.....and when she cant shake him off, she can just get pitzed off andtry to kill him.....

Breeding is a lot more intricate and complicated than just throwing two dogs together and "hoping for the best". I hope you reconsider this little adventure...it may very well cst you the life of your beloved female, and the babies too.

I hope she has a easy whelp and I also hope if you need them some breeders will be here to help. I don't mean to sound mean but hopefully you will treat them with more respect than you did Yorkiemom1. She is a very well respected person here and has helped many people here through difficult whelps. And spent many hours on the phone and emails helping people here save puppies after a whelp when the mom didn't survive it. Good luck.

There are many good books, and websites on whelping puppies; I assume you must have researched this ahead of time, prior to breeding your female. Any breeding and whelping success is certainly enhanced by preparation.

My advice is have a good vet, get yourself a whelping coach that is experienced in toy breeds to help you through the pregnancy and the whelp. Of course this person should be renumerated for their help.

Also if you do a search on here, you will find a wealth of information on the topic of whelping.

ive read many things on welping and watched many videos i know i can never be completely prepared but im tryng the best i can, ive put her on puppy food

i know theres not enough info on these videos but it does give me some help
ive read many information on pup delivery for my yorkie
id just like more info on how i can prepare myself more
im excited but nervous i hope everything goes well ive made an apt at the vet hopefully he can tell me everything will be fine and shell be able to deliver them safely but now my question is what does everyone use in there welping box as to everyones different
-heat lamp vs heating pad
-plastic welping box vs cardboard
