Theresa...I talked at length with a breeder here in Illinois by the name of Barbara Meskin at Stilton Yorkshire Terriers...very nice lady...has been an exhibiter/breeder for 20 years. She really seemed to know her stuff and was very protective of her pups and very particular who they went to. She also does Yorkie rescue. She is also a recommended breeder on the YTCA. She might be a good person to talk with. At the time, she had just had a new litter...and no one was allowed to even come visit them..(I think she was afraid I would bring germs on me to the pups..shrug. Anyway...I could not get a pup at the time, because of my apartment, but she was a great reference. She suggested going to some of the local shows and talking with the breeders and being "upfront" and honest with what you are looking for...just a suggestion. Maybe one of the other breeders on here have some input on her... Francie Francie b Anyone else have Anyone | |

| Loki is Stardust, we got him directly from Susan. I wanted a larger Yorkie with a thick, dark coat with a good temperament. Loki is now a year old, still black & gold, fluffy, and about 8 pounds. I liked her and would go back. If you want me to send you pics of Loki PM me. I think he is beautiful and even though he has a cottony coat (we figured he would, and that's OK), I can't take him anywhere without tons of compliments on how gorgeous he is. Not "oh what a cute puppy" but "wow he is a beautiful dog". He also enjoys doing his obedience classes! I wanted to say that one reason she might not "send" pictures is that she told me she does not do computers. She finally has a website but she doesn't sell online or do email. You might notice there is no email address on her website. I can tell you that if you tell her what you are looking for and you are honest, she will be honest with you. We only met her briefly when we picked up Loki, but I got a good vibe. If you go there, I promise she will put a beautiful puppy on your lap and you won't be able to leave without him. (Is that a good or a bad thing??) :-)

| Susan I just called a friend of mine here in Ohio that got some breeding stock from her and she was very disappointed. There are so many great breeders in that area that could get you a nice pet. Do you live close to Chicago?? I can see by reading here though that lots have been happy so it has to be your call.
