Theresa...I talked at length with a breeder here in Illinois by the name of Barbara Meskin at Stilton Yorkshire Terriers...very nice lady...has been an exhibiter/breeder for 20 years. She really seemed to know her stuff and was very protective of her pups and very particular who they went to. She also does Yorkie rescue. She is also a recommended breeder on the YTCA. She might be a good person to talk with. At the time, she had just had a new litter...and no one was allowed to even come visit them..(I think she was afraid I would bring germs on me to the pups..shrug. Anyway...I could not get a pup at the time, because of my apartment, but she was a great reference. She suggested going to some of the local shows and talking with the breeders and being "upfront" and honest with what you are looking for...just a suggestion. Maybe one of the other breeders on here have some input on her...
