| Children I think that the breeders should meet the children before deciding to reject you. My children have been raised with animals of all sizes. I have three children 12, 4, and 3. We recently had to put down our terrier mix dog. We got her when my eldest had barley turned 3. She was about the size of a yorkie. All of my children were very respectful of Cali. After a long illness we had to put her down. When we decided on getting another dog a yorkie was my first choice. I took my children to the breeder with me. They demonstrated how they could treat a small puppy with tenderness and the breeder was impressed. We will be recieving two puppies in 12 more days! Good luck on your search. |

| It took me awhile to find a breeder that would sell me a pup as well... but as you can tell from my avatar my children were very small when we got our dogs. We didn't have a single accident or incident. I think it is just as easy for an adult to stumble on top of a dog... accidents happen... but not every child is the same. My kids were wonderful with the puppies. I will leave it at that because I understand where people are coming from... I just think it is very judgemental to decide prior to meeting the family. By the way my kids are now 6, 3 and 8 months. We have three yorkies and couldn't be happier.
