YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Ava, does that to protect her lines. She has worked hard to get where she is at and does not want to take the chance of someone buying a pup from her then breeding it .

| ![]() Yes but spaying a pup to young is not good for them.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() Agreed. I would not accept a pup that is spayed/neutered prior to 6mths old. There is plenty of research that indicates all the problems with juvenile spaying. Sry but I would not pay a premium for those potential problems. It boils down to a trust issue that has been backed up by vet references, in depth interviewing, and other research the breeder can do about the potential buyer. If you don't trust that I would do as I said then don't sell to me. I'd much prefer that then to put any pups at the risk they get with juvenile spaying. Make your contracts clear and firm, and as the breeder follow up on the criteria you set out in those contracts. Hold back registration papers, and/or offer cash back with proof of spay. Money incentives often work for the majority of folks.
