| Well, the 1st sentence of the home page is... 'Tiny* t-cups , &* toy Size ... Tiny Snout , Tiny Bitty Body.Thick Coat!' so there is the 1st red flag The about us page 'PHOTO TO YOUR RIGHT ARE THE ORIGINAL YORKSHIRE TERRIERS. NOW YORKIES HAVE BEEN BREED DOWN TO T-CUPS AND SMALL TOY**....' it isn't an old photo beside this btw- I'd been assuming a pic of Huddersfield Ben would load beside it... But it's just some lovely non 'teacup' dogs- I have always loved the pic they use every time I see it different places! I'm gonna have a proper look at the site in a while on my computer- the dogs all look lovely, but I'm not sure all the pics are actually their dogs (could very well e wrong about that and if I am, sorry- I just assumed from seeing pics elsewhere). There is far too much emphasis on small size for my liking tho...

| I've never heard of them, but that's not saying anything. They mention champion lines but do they show? I saw no pics of their adult dogs or the name of their line mentioned.

| Thanks for all the feedback. I asked for this feedback for a friend......I mentioned to her all of the things you are saying. I personally would not inquire further, just based on her web-site. I see her ads on EBAY pets all the time - the dog sitting next to the cell phone. I have found that a lot of breeders capitalize on the word CHAMPION - yet they do not show, and have no real foundation in "SHOW" business. You definitely must read between the lines with these people. I also feel that her web-site is extremely "chaotic" and poorly structured. She seems to throw a lot of things into the pot. I am sure this appeals to enough people to keep her in business........... |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Champion blood lines mean nothing, nearly every yorkie has a champ somewhere in its background, she also acts like the came from a castle in Yorkshire England. She says that she has teacup and toy size, and this means she knows nothing about the breed or standard. There is only one classification, and it’s the toy size, and standard says that it must not exceed 7 pounds, so even a 1 pound yorkie falls in this range. Her prices are way out of line for someone who doesn't show. She will release a dog at 10 weeks because they have stopped nursing, this again shows she hasn't studied the breed. The next several weeks are important because mother and littermates teach important socialization skills. Look for a breeder who understands this, you will have an easier time with housebreaking and less of a problem with biting. My guess is this breeder does little or no health testing.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I feel sorry for the dogs and I feel sorry for the people who get these dogs, you get so incredibly attached and to see a dog suffer is so emotionally draining. Some people say that these dogs need a home to, but the bad breeders will just replace every dog sold with two more to be sold.

| The dog in that avatar looks a lot like Missy, my friend's off standard yorkie. Lovable, adorable, Missy, but surely nothing like what a yorkie should be.
