| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | No need to thaw before thawing as far as I know, I always boil it before thawing without problem. Praying she recovers.

| Just saw the updates to this thread- hadn't realized momma had delivered! I am praying for the little girl. I certainly hope the breeder is responsible for all these vet fees and it makes her re-consider. Good Luck to you- I know how much you care for these little ones and I really hope this little girl pulls through.

| Oh my gosh, I just got on here and started reading the updates. I feel like I am on the edge of my chair. I have all fingers, toes and eyes crossed. I have prayers going strong. I do hope all these babies are healthy soon. I can't wait to hear more.

| We lost her. We got to love her for 6 hours...she was a little fighter. I am so sad, but we have 2 healthy boys and 2 healthy girls. They are all nursing very well. I re-weighed them, and both boys are 4 oz and the girls are 4.5. The little one was 3 oz. Here are some pics of the babies. The last one is the little angel, about an hour before she passed. Mama is doing great, and drank some more whelping pudding and a scrambled egg. She did great for her first litter....she was just as calm and laid back during labor as she has been. Shes such a sweet little girl. The owner said after all of this, she thinks she is going to quit breeding. Maybe this was an eye opener. Thank you for all of your prayers.

Drinking whelping pudding????? My whelping pudding should be set to chill to set and spooned out. Now there is the Goat's Milk recipe that I give immediately after a whelp or inbetween pups being whelped.... Your little girl has 4 pups...you will have to provide with PetCal tablets. Also, keep Oral Cal Plus on hand for her as there is the possibility of eclampsia....make sure she's eating a minimum of 4 meals a day.

| It just dawned on me I havent told the rest of the story...I have talked to Yorkierose, (ps. thank you so much for talknig me through)....Originally, the first sac appeared. I called the owner and she came right over. She was pushing and having no luck....suddenly, a second sac appeared. I knew exactly what was happeing, but the breeder DIDNT! I started trying to push the sac back up, but the mama was bearing down hard, and the second pushed through beside the first. The vet is guessing this is when her cord may have gotten strained and the intestines leaked out...not sure, but just a guess. I have frantically been calling my vets cell phone number during all of this and kept getting his voicemail. Meanwhile, the first sac is still there and not budging. I finally got ahold of another vet who agree to meet me with her. I was heading out the door, and the mama starting really pushing again...by this time, nearly 2 hours have passed since it first appeared..so, I just started pulling gently as she pushed...and the baby came out. I was sure she would be dead, after being stuck for so long, but I quickly cleaned her up and she went to crying. My first tears of the morning. The other 3 came fairly quickly after with no trouble. We could have lost both girls and the mama. And from there is where I went ahead to the vet, and then to the next vet who did the babies surgery. For anyone who is considering breeding your babies, please. please dont! Leave this to the experts!! Too many things can go wrong...just as they did. I feel so fortunate we have four healty babies and a momma to nurse them. I will encourage everyone and anyone to NEVER breed! ps. My vet still hasnt called me back...arrrgggg. That is sooo frustrating too, becaue I just talked with him and he knew it was most likely going to be this weekend. I dont know if he had answered the first time though, that things would have been different. It all happened so fast. I feel like maybe I failed, but at the same time, had I not been with the mama, I dont think her owner would have known what to do at all.
