Same here.... I don't get it? :confused: Do you both not realize this is the reason that good breeders want nothing to do with YT and helping those that need help?

What you don't get is that there are many people that are first time dog owners, or as I was before I owned my first Yorkie, just a dog in the back yard owner, that posts or reads here on Yorkie Talk. Why on earth would a "good breeder want nothing to do with YT and helping those that need help?" It is not about the human, it is all about the furbaby that depends on us humans to take care of them. If someone asks for help, I can't imagine why someone wouldn't offer all the advice that they can. I am really disheartened that any breeder, or human for that matter, wouldn't want to offer all the help that they can.

Ok, ok.... Let's please not get this thread fired up again! I received a ton of advice.... Some of it was hard to take, but I needed to hear all of it! And I appreciate everyone who responded, whether or not it was tough love. It's been a long, hard road, and I don't think I could have survived it without YT members. I have learned so much and I'm sure others have to. End result, there are 4 beautiful, healthy babies in a loving environment. I am the lucky one. I feel so fortunate that things turned out as they did because so many terrible things could have and did go wrong.

Please Do not lash out at the members who gave me their opinions even if it was harsh. They love this breed, and I know now why everything was said. I get it. I love the YT family.... All of them.

they are so cute this is the fun time but soon you have to say goodbye to a few of them and that is not easy

I so glad that everything has worked out well and that you have become such a great member of YT in the past few months. You took that leap of faith and followed through. :thumbup: The puppies are adorable and I'm so glad that they all seem healthy and that you are making even a small dent in the BYBer issue. Wasn't the GE a blast! :p

Because breeders dont like to be critiqued when they give valuable advice. It doesnt matter if you like it or not it is a fact that we used to have several breeders to give advice on here and now we only have a few. Alot of breeder threads go unanswered or only have pet owners that dont have any experience answering

It is too bad that there are negative comments towards breeders who offer advice. I always hate it when someone asks my advice and when I give it, they question the advice or totally ignore it. I really value the opinions of everyone on here. Please continue to offer the advice even if someone slams you for it. There are many others reading and wanting to learn. ITT (Ignore the Trolls)

So true! Who wants to write advice and have every other word criticized because it wasn't positive enough or was too harsh? All you people who have nothing to offer but to yap about how harsh posters are, do you understand we are losing people with valuable information? KendraE, I'm glad your babies are doing well!

I just read through this entire thread and all i can say is that you are a very special person. You did a wonderful job with these babies and their mommy. I love your response to everyone about lashing out. You certainly are a very good person and I wish you all the best with these babies. God Bless You for being there for them.

Just for your information the reason i just now read about this thread was because i was just able to get internet access at home!!!!!!!!!!Thank you very much for being so flippin nice!!!!!!!!!!

i dont know why you misunderstood my post... i was simply saying the negativity is unfortunate to be directed at someone trying to do a good thing. I NEVER said everyone was being negative.. i was simply pointing my finger at the ones who were... STILL confused how you misunderstood my post... but maybe you were just bored... IDK

"the puppies are not 2 months old" when did i say that? and i dont talk badly about the reputable breeders on YT.. not everyone on here giving their opinion is a breeder... anywaaayyyyssss... i dont see why you felt the need to bash my comment when i was simply saying the few people who were negative to her for doing what she was doing is inappropriate and unnessary,.. YT is supposed to be a community of yorkie lovers who help eachother out not BASH eachother.. sooooo before YOU feel the need to post such a comment... read mine better.. THANK YOU

Soooooo....I see theres still some bickering going on here...lol!

But, I just dropped by to say the babies are now 8 weeks old! They are eating kibble on their own and have been for about 2 weeks. Their momma wont have a thing to do with them. She runs from them. They are very lovable and extremely spoiled! Its going to be so hard to let them go. The owner has pretty much turned the momma and litter over to me now. She doesnt even call to check on them anymore. So, Its going to be up to me to find them their forever homes. I hope and pray the right families are out there to give them the love and attention they are now so accustomed to. One day at a time....

That's so sad, even though mother isn't nursing she should be teaching them other things. Many good breeders say that if a girl isn't interested in being a mother, they won't rebreed her, even though she's a perfect example of the breed, they consider this such an important trait. Good luck on finding your forever homes, and I hope you spay and neuter all these dogs before they leave your home, otherwise, the cycle goes on. When you say the owner doesn't check on them any more, is she expecting money for the babies?

Im my opinion, She has neglected the momma and the babies. I will give her nothing. She can fight me in cout...but, since the city has just fined her for having too many animals, I doubt she will!

As far as spaying and neutering, I really cant until they are 7 months old, however, I am going to give free (previously paid) vouchers for spay/neuter from my vet. Im also going to have a spay/neuter contract. Dont know what else I can do at this point. Ive scheduled the momma for her spay already.

What a great idea, how generous of you! Best of luck finding great homes, and I'm glad you are standing up to this "breeder".

I have found the babies perfect homes!! They are 9 weeks old now...just waiting a couple of more weeks to let then go "home"!!!

Yeaa, true- but knowing they are going to A++++ homes Can help you send them away with a smile instead of tears! sometimes the tears are inevitable anyway... But little tiny fluffy things- enjoy them while you have them!!!!

And don't forget to tell the new moneys and daddy's to keep you updated with pics n the like! Sometimes, the best feeling is 6 months later, seeing your babies growing and thriving; the prince/princess of their very own castle!
