I am with her (using laptop) and my other dogs are in another part of the house but Nina is still crying like crazy out loud - thats why I'm going nuts ... because she is very LOUD!

I mention putting her up on your bed for the benefit of the pups to keep them warm. Cool air drops down, warm air rises.....Chilling is a major factor with pup mortality.

The vet gave us calcium for her and vitamins. Even being old she is quite a strong momma! In any case we have milk formula at hand if pups are not getting enough nourishment but for the moment they are doing pretty well. They are gaining weight and move around their box to sleep over each other or on their own. Momma is taking great care of them and they are not cold, they seem happy and don't cry, only make funny squirrel noises.

Oh, daddy we believe is the male poodle we found with her. He never leaves her side and cares about her a lot, it is very charming. However there is also the possibility other dog mated with her because the puppies are so colorful. There are two black/tan which look like yorkie pups. Another one light gray with black spots around the eyes and a white strip in the middle. Another pup is pure white. The other boy is dark brown and the girl is all gold with a slightly darker brown mask in the face.

I understand where you're coming from and I thank you for the wise advice. The pups and mommy are thriving and even the vet was impressed because of the conditions they came from and how well they are doing. We have a heater in the room to keep them warm and whelp box is over blankets, with another blanket inside. They don't shiver or cry and the place is warm.

We have put food and water close to the mother and there are potty pads on another corner of the room so she can relieve herself and comes right back with her pups. I don't use a heat pad beneath the whelp box because I worry about short circuits. Past december there were two cases in a neighbor town where one of which was a heat pad and the other an electric blanket which had a short and the dogs died burnt so I don't wanna risk it. I have this ceramic heater which is very good and keeps the room warm and turns automatically on/off if temperature drops or rises.

I have told my sister about all what I have read in YT and gave her the website link so she can take good care of the pups because I can't keep going over to check the pups since I have a job too and my own 1 month old pups.

The pics were taken morning after birth.

I'm not sure I will be taking more pics now that Melina is back to my sister. I will try to bring my camera in the weekend I visit her.

First pic they all look camera shy... lol Mommy as cleaning the pups when I shot this.

In the other they are just resting and being happy.
