| Swollen neck glands 3 days post partum Shelby gave birth 3 days ago on March 14th. I just noticed her neck glands are a little swollen. She was at the vet this morning with the pups to have their tails docked and the vet said she looks great. She's eating, puppies are all nursing very well. I wonder if this is normal because of the trauma her body just went through??? |

| Congratulations to you and Shelby! I would call the vet and ask them. That way you will put your mind to rest and not worry. Good luck! |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I have no input on this, I myself have never had this problem with my dogs. I did some research and fond an site that may be helpful. Lymph Node Inflammation (Lymphadenopathy) in Dogs | PetMD If you feel it may be serious do not hesitate to get her back to the vet.

| Update Thank you Sammy Mommy. Check out my page, I just posted a few more pics of the pups and Mama last night. I took Shelby's temp 100.8 (normal if not a bit low). Then I called the emergency vet and they said as long as she's not having trouble breathing and is behaving normally then just to keep an eye on her. She is eating, nursing, having regular BMs, so I guess it's just due to all the trauma her poor little body went through. Thanks for the replies, I appreciate the feedback. |
