| I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. Your vet is the expert and that is who you need to turn to for help. Like I said earlier I would not wait until next week. Seizures are very serious and the cause needs to be determined for proper treatment.

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | "Buy your breeder first" means researching the breeder thoroughly before you buy a puppy from them. What experience do they have? Do they have the dam and sire on the premises ? Have they done the necessary tests on the dam and sire? Do they have proof of that? What is their health guarantee? Since you are in Florida, you should know that there is a puppy lemon law. Does the contract and guarantee fit it with that law? (Run from anyone who tries to get you to waive your rights.) Do they have an open door policy? Will they take the dog back or help you rehome them if for some reason you can not keep your dog? Don't fall for just a cute puppy face. Check them out with the BBB and the Humane Society. Have they had complaints about them in the past? How were those resolved? It's easy for a breeder to throw up a few good reviews on their website, but it's more telling to see how they've handled themselves when there is a dispute. Remember, you are building what should be a life long relationship with the breeder of your dog. It's better to find a great breeder and have to wait for a puppy to become available than it is to buy a puppy that's already here, but be stuck with a less than optimal breeder. There's lots of information in the stickies to help you sort through breeders.

| Welcome Nallen and Dexter. I am so sorry to hear Dexter is having such a rough start to his life. It sounds like you are the best thing to happen to him. I would suggest getting Pet Insurance. I have Pet Plan and they cover hereditary issues but it can not be a preexisting condition. Buster start was tough too. I was really glad I got insurance as the bills mounted up pretty fast. I hope it turns out to be issues that are manageable with diet and medications, or can be addressed by surgery. Best wishes to you and Dexter.

| I am so sad to hear things like this. The only sure way to make people aware of bad breeders is really to post their names on here. People who want to do their homework before buying a puppy from this breeder, will Google their name and usually any posts made here will accompany that name. I surely do not like bad mouthing people but in situations like this I think people should be informed and breeders like this should be made accountable. I wish you and your puppy all the luck and happiness.
