| darks spots on behind I figure the breeder's could answer this one. My dog after whelp (which was 5+ months ago) discharged for several weeks post whelp (she was given antibotics/oxy for not delivering the last placenta right away. She did not and has not had any problems as a result I'm just curious if anyone knows what this is: On either side of her vulva she has a dark spot (two total) smaller than a dime, but round. Her skin is actually stained - it's not something that can be wiped off. It started about 3 months ago, to where it's quite noticeable now. She's been seen by the vet, they weren't concerned (but the spots were smaller then) These spots weren't there pre-pregnancy. Any ideas of what it is? What caused it?

| Interesting. Has anyone else had this sort of thing happen to their dog?

| I have two girls with round darker spots..one on her vulva, the other in the lower belly area...vets agreed it was pigmentation due to hormones...the spots are flat, not raised moles... |

Did these pigmentation spots appear after they gave birth? As long as it's nothing serious all is well then. Since I keep her hiney shaved they almost look like eyes. Kinda funny...a happy face if you will (poor thing! might get laughed at!!lol). Thanks for responding.
