| ![]() I too got my Bella at 6 weeks. She only weighed 1 pound when we brought her home. I think we got very lucky. She slept 6 hours every night, after a quick potty break at around 4am she would go back to sleep. (POTTY PADS are fantastic for night time potty breaks.) She never had the night crying, because she always slept with us. Or she was just comfortable. Or again maybe we got darned lucky. LOL I got her puppy formula which I mixed with her food for the first couple of weeks. I also hand fed her a couple of times a day just puppy formula out of a bowl, just a little bit , just to give her a few more calories. I did have nutrical on hand, but never needed it. She did have issues with chewing, but I think most puppies do. When she bit overly hard, I would 'yelp' and say no. And give her one of HER 'chewies'. She got over that in just a couple of months. Now Bella is a VERY healthy very active 9+ month old dog, and is the sweetest thing in the world, very friendly with people and other animals and is very well rounded. No issues really what so ever with her..(Well other than trying to escape the house, but that is another story. LOL) Good luck!!!!!! You will be fine!!!!!! Welcome!!! |
