oh yes, I am definitely having her spayed.. I would not have her go through that again. the vet called this morning and said that she is doing better. her fever has come down some and they have her on antibiotics. I should be going to pick her up this evening. I am just so grateful that nothing happened to Cinnamon. I have heard of people losing the entire litter and the mother. I can't imagine how that would feel losing all of them... thank you everyone..

I'm sorry to say that I know your sadness all too well. Thank God your girl is going to be ok. You'll be ok too. You can do everything right and it can still go horribly wrong. That's the hardest part of breeding. Cyberhugs to you and your girl.

We're so very sorry to hear of your family and Cinnamon's loss. It is good to know she is doing better and will be home with you for the holidays. Sending prayers and love your way...

hey everyone. thank you for all your prayers and hugs

your support has helped tremendously.. I do need a little more advice though. ever since Cinnamon has been home she has been digging like crazy (almost like nesting), kind of whining every so often, running a small temp of 103 (which she had been running a fever at the vet), and just kind of restless. she is on antibiotics since she had been running the fever. is it normal for her to be acting like this because of all she has been through? should I be concerned? ya'lls input would be much appreciated.

I would just keep an eye on her temp. From my experience she is just doing what seems natural to her. Most times when a female losses her litter she will look for them. She doesn't understand what happened all she knows is that she was expecting and now she's not. Just give her lots of extra attention.
