There are several things about the ad that I don't like, besides the fact that it doesn't say when the dogs will be available. It looks like you are selling them at 5 weeks! You also are touting "Champion bloodlines" to me, this is only what a byb says. I warn people to avoid breeders who market their dogs in this way. Also, implying that he has show potential is so very misleading. We're his parent's champions, even if they were, you should know that this doesn't mean the offspring will have show potential. Lastly, although you say you will sell on limited registration, you only mean for this price, you will just negotiate for a higher price if someone wants him as a breeder. A dog either should or shouldn't be bred, and you have no way of knowing at 5 weeks or even 12 weeks if he is breed worthy. This ad sickens me.

Championbloodlines include several world famous lines.
Crystal Waters, Durrer, SQUIRREL, Crosswinds. He
looks like he is charting to be in about the five
pound range. He is in EXCELLENT health His face
is going to be the most beautiful gold just
like his daddy. I would love to keep him and show
him but due to recently being in the hospital
several times and in ICU for several days just
last week, I am just not able. He will be sold on
LIMITED registration only unless
prior arrangements are discussed and I am
comfortable where he is going. This is a pet price
only. Contact me for more info and pictures of
both parents. Do not waste my time with crank
calls and emails. I am far too sick to put up with
that so please respect it. Prefer not to ship.

I just want to say to all you breeders, and would be breeders, the economy is really bad, people are not buying as frivolously as they were buying two years ago, it is NOT Yorkietalk member's fault that you are not selling your dogs like you once did. I'm sorry so many of you are having financial and health difficulties, I truly am, but I suggest you stop breeding if you need this money to live on.

Thank you, I will go and look. I just assumed people are smart enough to know puppies don't leave that young. And you are right, I have had some phone calls for a puppy NOW and for Christmass. No one gets my babies like that. As far as phone calls, my hubby monitors the phone. We were getting a lot of crank calls from certain YT members so now we let the answering machine pick up. Thanks again.

Sugar's Mom -- I am very sorry you have been sick. No one wishes to add to your illness or misery. I think if you look again, you can see why it might have looked to many that you were letting 5 week old pups go to new homes. Even the "Deposit to hold' line only makes me think of offereing to hold for people who do not want to take possession yet due to Christmas, etc. Maybe you could add to future ads when the pups are available to leave to avoid misunderstandings. Glad you do keep all pups until they are older! Wish you better health in the new Year!

As for not selling on YT any longer, why would that be? I would think that you would have come here first for help. Not only that but YHR did help a breeder last year who was ill and needed a rescue for her female that was ready to have puppies. She surrendered her to the rescue a day after whelping because she was ill and not able to take care of them never once thinking about her profit. The only consideration that she had was the welfare of her dogs.

I am very proud of my dogs and am not going to sit here and get into another thread like the review was. I have no doubt several of the same people are going to be along any minute to post. I did not say anything about selling on YT. I said, I don't post or come here much anymore. If you go back and look at the for sale ads, you will be surprised at how few dogs I have sold on here in the past two years. Anyway, you and your opinion of me is just that.

Did I say I would sell on full for a higher price? I think I said I would have to reall get to know the breeder first. perferably, it would be a personal friend. I am done with trying to help breeders.

I don't recall her saying she needed the money to live on. And why wouldn't one describe the dogs pedigree in the ad. It saves from having to tell people later when they ask about it.

She said she is not well and doesnot want to deal with alot of questions. Thatis understandable.

It is not HER fault that the rest of us did not read the last line in her ad.

This is a long time member, not someone who came on to sell a puppy and then leave.

I'm sorry Sugra's Mom that you're not well. I hope you are feeling better soon!

I do however think your ad will make people think this pup will be ready to go home by Christmas. It has a lot of the same qualities that we warn new puppy owners about. At first glance (before you edited it) it sounded like because of you're illness you wanted to find his forever home sooner rather than later. Again, it could be just silly assumptions I made, but that is the impression I got from it.

I see you added he will not leave until 12 weeks old, that's good! And prank calling from YT members is uncalled for.

But right after that, you said "This is a pet price only." That sort of implies it would be a higher price if sold on full registration. Would you be selling at a lower price if it was full registration?

YES!!!!!!!! You said, "only unless

This means you have to be comfortable with where the dog is going, and pay a higher price, but then he could be bred. Do you put ads to you personal friends on puppyfind? Give me a break.

Seriously, if this was just another breeder, everyone would be outraged, but because it's a Yorkietalk member, all the other breeders will not speak up. This is wrong wrong wrong, and being sick is no excuse.

I'm sorry that you have not been well. But to be perfectly honest with you all of your medical emergency I too have dealt with in the past. Actually, I had 5 units of blood and then was DXed with ovarian cancer and had a Total hysterectomy, lost my job, fell and broke my arm in 3 places and went through 6 months of Physical Therapy to recuperate.. But none of that has to do with selling a puppy.

Let me further say that I had NOT IDEA that this was a member of YT who posted such an ad. To me, when I was asked about the ad it was full of red flags. I am NOT going to apologize for a belief system that I follow regarding how a breeder should be chosen. I also an not ashamed of myself for speaking up when I see something that is suspect. There have been plenty of times that others have posted about breeders claiming to be ill and needing to sell their puppies.

I would like to know who the YT members are that would be prank calling your home. Seems pretty childish to me. Do you have proof of this and if you do then you should be naming names .

Lastly, if you are no longer active on YT how was it that within 8 MINUTES of my post that you were defending your actions and verbally attacking me

I don't know much of anything about breeding, and stuff, but I know that my little Buzzy Boy was 4 months old, when I got him, and he is the most socialized of my three...Apple was 11 1/2 weeks old, and not as sociable, but will be friends, if the OP (other pup) lets her be boss ...Cha Cha was a rescue, so I don't know her background, and gets along w/anyone that is bigger than her (she only weighs 4 lbs. lol)...Bottom line is, it seems to me, the longer they are w/their littermates, and birth mommy, the more socialized they are...Buzz is EVERYBODY and EVERY PUP'S friend...
