Breeding without forethought.
Members attempting to fool the unsuspecting public.
Even taking abuse from members for absolutely no reason, even when you are offerring, info, help and support.

Always in for a good laugh, even at my expense.

This exhibitor has a fellow exhibitor and they very lady like discuss who gets to use me and when. Last show my "mentor" ( I call her that but she tells me I am her friend) said to her fellow exhibitor, "I found her first" LOL. There is plenty of me to go around..lol

It depends on many things. The resources and experiences. Breeding isn't required as a fancier. Some find it to be a natural progression. It can be joyful. But egads! Breeding can be quite painful. 10 years if ever is a good way to view it.

I have a different take keeping a relationship with the bad breeder. I feel like if they have poor ethics keeping any ties with them may be stopping you from having ties with good people. The old saying "birds of a feather flock together" or "we are judged by the company we keep". This person may be stopping the right person from meeting you because they may see you as having her ethics. Being new you may not think others know her when they probably know what she is all. This is true for the quality of her dogs. I'm not saying you don't know a bad dog from the standard. I'm just saying that being new you could be missing some things that you would see different as an experienced person. Maybe you will feel different about the breeding after outside influences as well.

Not sure how taboo it is to sell unregistered dogs in Ireland. But IMO it's muddy. I would not want to breed to anyone with ethics like this. Something better will come along. You don't want to be labeled as part of her. Parting ways isn't burning bridges. Make things appear that it's not combative in the best manner possible.

i noticed yesterday (well, monday) that Kuki was even More swollen than before and was really driving Dexx (the fixed chi) crazy by wavin her bum about in front of him etc, so i called the stud owner and explained it all, he didn't seem to hopeful about it but i took her up earlier and to his surprise, she stood very happily for his boy- they were just left to it today, and she was so much calmer about her surroundings etc... so if all goes to plan i will have puppy pics in the nursery in jan!
but before, she did honestly seem like she was ready- so she does just takes extra long to get to 'phase 2'? Kuki takes being difficult to predict to a whole new level!

and Elle, i agree, don't want to be judged by Her ethics, appart from any 'breeders' who are just in it for the money or 'just want to have one litter' then breeding and not registering is just as frowned upon- and adding to irelands general bad reputation of being one of the puppy mill capitals! which is such a pity, because we do have some stunning dogs here that loads of people don't take into consideration
