| I known that it is a heated discussion on here whether cleft pallatte is a genetic thing or not....I have talk to 3 vets in this area they all agree that Lizzy should not be bred (which I absolutely no plans to do so)however they do not see why the other girl could not be bred and the male be a stud...they said what happened to Lizzy was just a weird thing that happened in the womb. They do not think that zoe got into any pesticides or the whole batch would have had it and they seriously do not think its a genetic thing with her because of the severity of it.....which is not severe at all....just something that did not develop right....which they told me sometimes happens....if it would have been a very severe case then they might think otherwise....but I really don't plan to tell this to the little girls new family....I'm just trying to come up with the guts to tell them that no breeding will be allowed..that i will hold AKC papers until they show me proof of neutering/spaying....if anyone has articles saying otherwise about genetics I would like to see them and I will print them off..... |
