"There is a recipe somewhere for whelping pudding.

You vets advice is probably good but generic. If one of the breeders on here gives you a recipe, I would go with that. Your vet knows dogs, They know yorkies. I have heard evaporated goats milk is better than evaporated cows milk. "

We tried the whelping mix.. but the goats milk did not sit well on Abby's stomach which is why we changed it to the evaporated.

Calm down. Some people are just now seeing this for the first time. I must say, you are taking the beating very well, most people would have run and hid by now.

Just hang in there and the beating will stop and the advice will begin.
What we all want now is to see those babies and momma make it through this.

In that case, get off this forum and look for a YTCA breeder close to you. An online forum can only do so much and you would really benefit from someone who has first hand experience that can help you hands on. They would know what signs to watch out for. Even if you were to post here about your baby girl or her puppies having trouble, an online forum is no help.

A real person is good but the forum is better than nothing. She can research so she knows what signs to look for.

did you buy the canned evaporated goats milk at the grocery store and water it down or did you use actual goat's milk? I've gotten goats milk fresh from farmers and it would be too rich. The canned, diluted would be different.

I got fresh.. we could not find canned in out area.. We live in a rather tiny city/town.

I will go to "town" up to the next big city over, and try find the canned.

If you have a Walmart Supercenter anywhere near you. It is in the baking aisle right near the canned evaporated milk. Every Walmart I've seen carries it.....

Also like Dvlshangel says, if you can find a YTCA breeder anywhere near you, contact them and they would probably be willing to give you hands on help....couldn't hurt.

The name of it is Meyenberg and it is in the baking section along with the evaporated cows milk.

AHHH HA I did not look in the baking section. I was in Pets where the other "formula" mixes are. Thanks for the tip.
