| They are beautiful! I noticed the comment about undocked tails! The Netherlands are so progressive. Good for them. I wish they would outlaw the practice here as well. |

| Just got my new baby from internet sale I looked for about a month for a female and finally found one that I liked and that was not $3000. It is amazing how much some of these sell for. Anyway, I found her on the internet PuppyFind. I talked to the seller sooooo many times, I was afraid she would think I was a stalker. She sent lots of pictures of the litter, and mom and dad. As time came for her to be shipped I do not know who was more nervous, me or her. She called me 4 times the day Cheyenne was shipped and I called her twice. She has called me every week since we got her just to make sure everything is going good. She made me a CD of Cheyenne from the day she was born to the day she left. Since we did not get to see her until she was 18 weeks old, I thought that was great!!!!! She also sent me a "care package" with a diaper bag, 3 baby blankets, stuffed lamb toy, 3 other toys, snack food, all her papers, her pedigree, and chew bones. She also had her micro chipped. I had to promise her I would send pictures every XMass and on Cheyenne's birthday every year. She will not sell any of her babies until they are over 12 weeks. I saw one breeder who was selling a litter and they were only 6 weeks, this is just way to early for yorkies. |

| My experience with tring to sell on the internet has been terrible. I have had people tring to scam me. They want to send checks for more than what I am wanting for my puppy even after I tell them I will not accept it. They are wanting me to deposit the money in my account and then refund over amount to them. They waste my time. Have any of you dealt with any of these?

| It is a big scam, these people contact you saying they want to buy your dog you are selling for $1000 then they say the have a check for say $2000 that they want to send to you, they ask you to send what the difference is eg. $1000 back to them. The cheques look real and when you take them to be cashed at the bank the seller finds out they are fake. The scammers sometimes walk away with the sellers money and sometimes even the dog. It is not just dogs for sale they target but a lot of products people sell on the internet. |

| One said he was going to send a Postal money order. but then turned around and said he was going to have a third party that owed him money send it to me. They tell you all kinds of things. Some can not even remember what they told you the time before even when the email is still is on the reply. Not very smart scammers.

| The is a place to report on the web. http://www.ifccfbi.gov IC3 2004 Internet Fraud - Crime Report January 1, 2004—December 31, 2004 Counterfeit Check Schemes A counterfeit or fraudulent cashier’s check or corporate check is utilized to pay for merchandise. Often these checks are made out for a substantially larger amount than the purchase price. The victims are instructed to deposit the check and return the overage amount, usually by wire transfer, to a foreign country. Because banks may release funds from a cashier’s check before the check actually clears, the victim believes the check has cleared and wires the money as instructed. One popular variation of this scam involves the purchase of automobiles listed for sale in various Internet classified advertisements. The sellers are contacted about purchasing the autos and shipping them to a foreign country. The buyer, or person acting on behalf of a buyer, then sends the seller a cashier’s check for an amount several thousand dollars over the price of the vehicle. The seller is directed to deposit the check and wire the excess back to the buyer so they can pay the shipping charges. Once the money is sent, the buyer typically comes up with an excuse for canceling the purchase, and attempts to have the rest of the money returned. Although the seller does not lose the vehicle, he is typically held responsible by his bank for depositing a counterfeit check.

| I used the internet to search local classified ads on line. I had my puppy before the ad was even published in the newspaper. It was lucky that I saw the posting a 1/2 hour after it was posted. I checked her out first because she was the closest. I did not have to look further. I also used the internet to contact local breeders through the canadian kennel club. Most breeders got back to me the next day. It was a great experience for me to use the internet as a resource for finding my Yorkie Puppy, I had her in 48 hours! |

| I have had five of them trying to buy my puppies. It is driving me crazy trying to weed them out. I think I have one sold just to find out they are a scammer. I am getting wiser now. I can spot them quicker. It is just a pain. I think I will just put an ad in the paper. A friend told me that if I wanted to be reputable breeder I should not. What is the difference from the net?

| [B]Please read this: Just wanted to share my internet experience with you guys. I bought my 2nd yorkie from someone I found on puppyfind.com...The lady was really nice and she told me she was the breeder. She even told me that she had the parents there and what their sizes were. She SEEMED like a reputable breeder. She asked for a money order, so I sent it to her overnight and she sent me my baby two days later. Here's the problem: My yorkie didn't have any ID(microchip, tattoo, or even an ID collar), and she didn't send the bill of sale or the contract. Upon reading his paperwork, we saw a discrepancy between the ages stated on the shot record and the health certificate required to ship the pup. We called her to ask her about it and she yelled at my husband for 10 minutes straight! We couldn't believe it. She was telling us that her yorkies were healthy...we weren't even questioning his health. She hung up on us, and she changed her number! Then, he was being very lethargic, so I took him to the vet...He had a heart murmur, luxating patellas, an upper respiratory infection. Also, he had a very severe case of coccidia and hypoglycemia which almost killed him twice! They told me he wouldn't live through the night, but he did thanks to God. He got better because we vowed that we were going to make him healthy again, and he did get healthy, or so we thought. Months later, we found out that he has a liver shunt. They went in for the surgery, but they couldn't find it, which means that it's somewhere that they can't reach. We also found out during this time that the lady wasn't a breeder...She bought her puppies from a PUPPYMILL and she was selling them as her own!!! Just be careful if you are considering purchasing a dog over the internet....Try your best to find someone in your area or ask around. Wait until you find the right person to purchase from. I learned this the hard way. |
