Up until just recently partis were not being shown. Prabably have not had time to get any champions.

I'd love to see a pic of some the first Parti champions. It will be interesting to see what the judges prefer. I'm sure all the Parti breeders are anxious to see, too. It shouldn't be long before we find out.

I beg to differ. It may be a political color fault. However, it is not a genetic fault as in something bad or dangerous. That phrase is very misleading to those who do not understand genetics.

It is a fault labeled on the parti yorkie by a breed club. This breed club is the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America.

It is a fault, the only fault within the standard that is a disqualification. Keeping in mind, the standard is written for breeders/exhibitors as a goal to strive to. The standard is a written guideline on what a dog of certain breed should look and act like. When breeders deviate from the standard, one breed begins to look like another, that's why a good breed club tries to preserve and protect the written standard, as that preserves the breed. Breeders in the past tried very hard to breed out certain things, a breed doesn't need huge variation within the breed. When you hear the word Yorkshire terrier, you should be able to picture what that breed will look like.
