END OF STORY !!! I've never heard of anything more crazy--unwormed--unvaccinated that's asking for trouble IN MY OPINION !!! You people that don't know what to do---why not research Parvo---distemper---hook worms--whip worms--round worms---then if you choose NOT to worm and vaccinate it's your choice --and you can live with what happens as a result of your choice. I bred and raised toy breeds for 28 years and also some large breeds (dobermans) I've seen pups die from Parvo---as some have stated they have never had Parvo---thats good--I'm happy for ya ! But if you EVER get it I guarantee you will start vaccinating or every pup ya raise will drop dead with bloody poop---it's a horrible death--puppies so sick they lay in their own bloody poop and nothing will save them . But as I stated earlier--if ya need advise on Parvo--email me and I'll send ya Dr.Page's info and where to buy NEOPAR VACCINE for Parvo prevention. I will comment no more on this subject. ( I wonder where Poor Tammy is now---shark attacks made her stop commenting ---that's ashame !! ):( | Yes you are absolutely positively correct. That is my opinion, based on the research that I have done. I never said I was a vet, but I have read the research that was done by vets.
Do you think that your vet, who created the parvo vaccine, might have a conflict of interest by prescribing the vaccine for 5 week old puppies. The well being of the puppy, vs money in his pocket?
From what you say, you have quite a large kennel. The more dogs you have, the harder it is to control these things. My dogs live in my house with me. No other dogs come here, I take all precations when we go to the vet. I watch as they sanitize the scale and exam table, I never put them on the floor, I never put them down outside to potty, and I don't go to dog parks.
I have not changed shoes and sanitized them as another poster suggested, but I think it is a good idea and will start doing that.
Yes Parvo is a horrible disease, but if you are just trading one disease now for another one (cancer) down the road, then aren't you just passing the problem on to your customers?
You are not going to change your mind fnd I m not going to change mine, but new people reading this should be presented with all the pros and cons, and all angles of the issue, so they can make an informed decision.
Tammy probably got tired of reading the same issues repeated over and over and moved on. |
