Anyone selling pups....a Beware...plz. read I posted this on another forum I belong to... My husband got a call last night from a TDD operator (deaf ppl use this type of relay operator) leaving an email from a man interested in our pups. My husband emailed him telling him we had 1 male left. Never gave an amount or telling him anything else. This morning he got this reply from the man: Hi , Thanks very much for your email, it was really nice speaking with you on the relay call, you have to bear with me as I have hearing problems, hence the use of the relay call. The reason I am sending you this email is to make final reconfirmation and also to let you know that payment will be by certified USPS (United States Postal Servce) Money Order OR Certified Cashiers Check. In view of this I need you to email me any information that may be required to send the Money Order, as I do not want to send the Money Order OR Certified Cashiers Check to a wrong location lest they gets into the wrong hands. So i want you to Reserve the 1 Male Yorkie Puppy you have left for me Okay.Regarding the shipping, I have a company that takes care of the pick up of my consignments for me and ship to my destination anywhere in the U.S.A, you do not worry about shipping, the company will send down a representative to arrange the sales documentation and the pick up from your end for onward transfer to my destination. I also want to alert you on the fact that you will be recieving an overdraft Money Order OR Certified Cashiers Check, which will cover the money for the pickup (pickup and shipping to the final destination) as well as the money to be paid to the company that will take care of the pickup and the documentation with you. So please, as soon as you receive the Money Order OR Certified Cashiers Check, go and cash them immediately, deduct the money that accrues to you, and send the balance to the Head Office of the company that handles the shipment in London England via the nearest Moneygramm orWestern Union agent in your area. Deduct the Moneygramm or Western Union charges from the balance and send the remaining to London England immediately . The Money Order OR Certified Cashiers Check will be in your name to make it easier for you to receive payment, deduct your money and send the balance Via Moneygramm or Western Union as regards my earlier direction, please reconfirm your details one more time.I will give you the details of the company that you will send the balance of the money to in New York City, New York State once I get a reply and agreement that you will send the money to London England Via Moneygramm or Western Union money transfer immediately you cash the Money Order OR Certified Cashiers Check. Once the money is received by the agent in London England , the shipping agent will contact you immediately to arrange the documentation as well as the pick up immediately. So in view of the above, here are some of the details I will need for final issuance of the USPS Money Order OR Certified Cashiers Check to you. (1) Full Names (2) Mailing address, No P.O.Box Please (3) Your direct Telephone Numbers(Home and Office and Cell) (4) Acceptance of my offer and agreement to send the balance of the money to my shipping agent in London England Via Moneygramm or Western Union Money Transfer. Once you get back to me with all the above, the Money Order OR Certified Cashiers Check will be issued out immediately and it will be sent to you . Finally i am making you a promise that the pup will be taken care of just like a child and nutured like my friend, companion and pet at the same time, never lacking any care and love from me at any point,i will also send you pictures from time to time for you to see what love i it gets from me.My address if you need it for the registration is: Bill Micheal 220 Fayette Street, Manlius, NY 13104 I used to work for the United Nations and recently lost my hearing, due to a mighty explosion at a site where we were evacuating Civilians in Iraq.Am recieving treatment grants both from the American Government and also the United Nations. So you have to bear with me as I have hearing problems, hence the use of the relay call Hope to hear from you immediately. Regards, Bill N.B. : I will pay you extra $50 to reserve this for me

Sounds like a scam to me. Our local news had a story on a lady that received a email like your's and they investigated it and the m.o. was a fake. If she had cashed it she would have been liable for it.

scam Quite a few breeders have gotten this same email...it is a scam. I really liked the one where the buyer wanted to send me a check for $50,000 and I was suppose to deduct the cost of the pup and send them a check for the remainder..I emailed and said the pup was $100,000 and they were a bit short. Do people actually fall for this stuff?

ok, i got this exact same email about 3 months ago. exact same wording minus the hearing imparied part. his name was Mr. Bill in the one i got. he wanted to do all the things he said to you. he said that he wanted to send me a cashier check for so and so amount and that he wanted me to send the left over amount to his "associate" to cover expenses to transport the pup to him. i did write him back. and i told him that i had shown his email to the authorities. never heard from him again. i also asked him what kind of fool did he think i was? these people have been trying this scam for a while now. i had heard of another person who they contacted about a motorcycle long before i got the email. and it was the same type of wording with the motorcycle. they just go in and change a few words. i think they are foreign. they havent learned to not speak in such a business-like way to the average person selling something. however,, they may pick up on this in the future and sound more beleivable.

I got the same type of call when I was selling our last puppy. By the time she got back with me I had already sold him. As a matter of fact I kept a copy of the emails that were sent. If I remember correctly I got 2 different ones. I will find them and post them here.
