| Are they too different?? What should I do. The babies are 9 days old when I took these photos. They were born on 24/03/10.

| You just have to wait and see how they grow....sometimes the smaller one catches up and ends up being bigger than the big one.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Wow, that's quite a difference! They both look healthy & content though. I'd say as long as the little one is eating and seeming normal otherwise, not to worry. Was there a big weight difference at birth? Is the little one gaining okay? Maybe the bigger one is nursing from the fullest(best) nipples; you could try making sure the littler one gets first dibs at the fullest nipple at feeding time. But again, as long as they are both healthy & content they are probably just normally, different. Some pups are just smaller.........................and/or some are just bigger.

| I agree...my litter had a monster too. He was literally triple the size of the others. At his 12 week appointment the other weighed in at 2-3 lbs and he weighed 5.15 lbs. Just like their is a runt, there's always a big one. As long as he's healthy don't worry.

| I have a big one in my litter too! As long as they are all gaining weight, I don't worry about it! |

YT 500 Club Member | I too had a litter of two girls, one much larger than the other and they stayed that way, so long as they're both feeding well and growing everything should be fine. With just 2 mum should have plenty of milk. |

| Thank you for all replies. The babies are different in size since the day they were born and stay that way till now. If I let the little one get first dibs at the fullest nipple at feeding time, the mom always stand up and look for the bigger one. She'd like to nurse both babies in the same time. So I think I could only just wait & see how them grow.
