ETA: Just saw where you posted the link to that thread. Yep, that's who I was thinking of, too. |

an FYI pertaining to any posts one makes regarding a personal experience - it's called free speech - as long as it's a based on what YOU experienced - there's no reason for anyone to worry about repercussions if you are truthful and share your own feelings. Believe me - after the whole BRUSHY CREEK thing I went thru here after visiting there was a good example but I stuck to what I saw and posted about it. They didn't like me one bit but they ended up investigated and everything I said was found to be exactly as I described. I know they wanted my head but it's still attached :) |

ps. Now that I re-read that puppy mill thread I realize who she is and she ain't even trying to do right. Grrrrr! |
To me, she always seems to try to "one up" people whenever they have a disagreement, but she says the other person is the one who always tried to "one up". Oh, did you read in some other threads that she wants to breed yorkies now too? |

That was easy to find, she only started 3 threads total. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...-breeding.html |
I almost bought a puppy from sweet Yorkie kisses but after reading the reviews here, I've changed my mind. It's a shame too, cause the puppy I wanted is so cute (in pictures as I haven't seem him in person yet). I was thrilled when I came across sweet Yorkie kisses website as I've been looking for a teacup Yorkie or teacup morkie and haven't found any in my area (Anaheim, CA) but now I'm totally skeptical about buying one from this breeder. I got a weird vibe when I spoke on the phone with her, I felt like she didn't remember who I was, despite after talking 3 - 4 times and then I wasn't too happy about being asked to send the deposit via western union in her husband/partners name, that seems kind of shady, You'd think she'd take a check. Anyway, your comments have helped me greatly, saved me some money (she was asking quite a bit of $$ for the Yorkie) only thing now is that I'm back to square one, searchng for a new member of our family. Any suggestions on where to look are greatly appreciated. |

Check The YTCA site for Yorkie breeders. There are also some very good breeders here on this site. Good luck. |
IDK why people can't adopt yorkies. There are so many that could use a loving home! |

This story is sad :( |
[QUOTE=McheleM;3601958]I just want to point out that even Satan knows scripture....... :rolleyes:This is true. I have found there are some very strong opinions on YT, and if you don't agree you can say so. This is an old thread that i just read from beginning to end. I always learn something new here. Thanks to all the PIs !;) |

I can see why its not necessarily as easy to be able to adopt. Before I found the rescue I adopted from I couldn't find a good breeder that I could trust to not take part in unethical practices. |

I really wish more people could adopt yorkies, unfortunately too many people (the irresponsible ones) ruin it for the rest of us. |

Just like finding a good breeder takes time, so does finding the right rescue. |
No Guarantees I realize that this thread started a while ago, but I'm in the process of getting a little sister for my Yorkie girl who's two. I found a breeder, but you just never know. I did go to www.petfinder.com to see if I could adopt one, but not one in my area. A breeder I found only has 2-3 litters a year to sell. She mainly runs a dog grooming business. She has one female left. Because she sells both AKC and CKC registered puppies, it has been suggested I not buy from her. I bought my Yorkie I have now from a breeder that was referred by the local kennel club. My puppy was also AKC registered and came with a health guarantee and papers. Within a year, she needed double knee surgery. As it turns out, once my Yorkie's vet got involved, my Yorkie wasn't the first of one of her dogs to have knee trouble, but she said it wasn't a covered condition. She eventually offered to take my Yorkie back, but by then I had fallen in love with her. Plus, what was the breeder going to do with her? I kept my girl, but the breeder did end up giving me another Yorkie girl from different parents. I gave her to my mom and dad and they love her. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you never really can tell with a breeder. I mean, here was one that came recommended and my puppy still had over $2000 in vet bills within a year. While I'm nervous about buying another Yorkie, I'm excited at the same time. Again, you can never tell. |
