Welcome to YT, it's great you've come to ask questions before you begin to breed. So many are not like you, they breed first then ask questions. Mary and others are giving you some good advice and things to think on, but then sounds like you are aware of that.

I have no idea where others based their answers from.

But, as a breeder/exhibitor.....I will say on the average a female yorkie pup will come into Heat from 10 to 14 weeks of age. Now this is an average. On rare occassions a yorkie will experience her first Heat at the age of 6 months but, that is not the norm. After the first Heat, they usually come into Heat every 8 to 10 months. Some, but very few come into heat every 6 months.

lol i could've sworn at first you told me MONTHS and then weeks i was like HUH? now im not THAT dumb lol... but thank you ... if she cleans herself how will i know that she is in heat? do they get cranky ?

Here you go.....don't get offended, I'm going to use breeder terms.

1. Week one - vulva begins to get pink and swell. - 7 days. Breeders call this; coming in. Boys usually can tell a girl is coming in....about 2 to 3 weeks before the girl ever does.
2. Week two - Begins to show color (bleed). Yorkies being clean will keep that area clean and do not bleed profusely. So in order to make sure, after she pees, blot her with a tissue. - 7 days
3. Week 3 - This is what breeders call going out (meaning going out of their Heat Cycle ) bleeding begins to turn pink and light and subsides......this is the time a female is susptable to the male and when one must be vigilant. Most girls are fertile during day 10 - 12 from the onset of bleeding. 7 days.

However, to prevent any unwanted breedings....it is best to keep your female away and seperated from any males for about 4 weeks.

so she'll be ok..
now she sleeps in bed with my fiancee and i should i be concerned of her dirtying my linens? should i buy diapers for her? like i asked before will she get cranky (like we do lol) bitchy? snappy?

Most don't bleed much, I've never had one soil their bedding. But, yes she could very likely soil yours. But a bit of spray and wash on the sheets should take care of that.

No, she will more than likely get real clingy and loving....even silly.
