| Congladulations with one puppy! Here it is Sunday night ... and nothing! Mini's eating, playing, sleeping ... no panting, no nesting and still her temp is 99. I guess it's just a waiting game ... all in her good time, not ours ... LOL

| Muffy a a big boy! Hi Gang! Muff had a big boy mon at 3:31 pm . It was scary she had a little bit of trouble pushing him out but with the good Lord"s help we got him here and doing good so far, I am dreading nipping his tail any tips?shes extremely Protective and I am not sure how far to dock it and how to make it stop bleeding I mean I use the blood stop but I know she will lick it and I am afraid it will keep bleeding. He weighed 6 on my digital scale. |

| Congladulations Muff on your Big Boy!! My Mini was, according my calculations & her Dam's history, to have her babies on Sunday, 10/23 ... today, Tuesday, Oct 25, 9:45am PDT, no sign of nesting, panting, or interest on her part! No sign of distress ... we're just waiting . . . . I asked the Breeders Forum about docking tails and best advice I rec'd was to leave 2/3 of the length as longer tails are more "fashionable" now. Thoroughly disinfect scissors and snip 1/3 off between vertibraes, use blood stop if bleeding. Same with Dew Claws. At 3 days their bones have not yet formed and you're just snipping off very soft cartilege. My sister will do Mini ... if Mini decides to get serious about having her puppies three days before my sister flies home on Saturday! Again, let's hear it for ALL THE NEW MOM'S~!

| Nope ... nothin' happenin' with us chickens ... I took Mini to the Vet this am, she was acting a bit mopey. I had her x-rayed, so now we know ... We have Wiggle, Waggle a..n..d BRUNO! One side with two, heads down in position ... on the other side ... we have BRUNO ... with the head up under her (front leg) armpit and the tail (back bone) extending clear down to her groin. And, it looks like Mini's going for the 63-64 days! The Vet said the "C" word, but I told her I couldn't make that decision and took the x-rays home to show my sister (the "mid-wife" was out salmon fishing with my hubby, LOL). Well ... my sister says she'll deliver, that she's delivered many a mini Shar-Pei in that position (and they have really big heads). So ... we'll just wait and deliver. The Vet said Mini wasn't ready at all ... the "C" could have been today, or tomorrow, or Thursday ... just not in the middle of the night ... I'll let you know what happens ...
