Yorkie Yakker | my female will not my male mount her I have a female that went to the vet, and he said she is ovulating and ready to mate, however when my male is behind her she cries and will not let him enter her. She moves away. I am not sure if this is because it is her first time, and it is not his first. She will let him lick her, but that is it. Please help before we miss our opportunity. |

| I know nothing about breeding but click the search bar, there was recently someone else who posted about this same thing... there were several suggestions? Are you a breeder or just want your dog to have pups ? Please be careful... its just so dangerous

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | she is a maiden bitch you have to assist the breeding, gently hold her and guide him, she is inexperience and dones not what to expect. DebbieJensen.com has great instructions in holding a bitch for the perfect mating. hugs and best of luck. Carmen in nj |

| I have no experience with breeding...but be careful because Nicco could get hurt... if he has penetrated and does tie & she will not stay still.... I believe he could damage his penis.... Is this the female that was in heat that time I was there? Has she been health tested to make sure she is okay for breeding?

| ALWAYS keep a hand on the female while they are tying. This is a very basic rule of breeding--I am surprised you are unaware of it since you are actively trying to breed your dogs. It keeps the female from moving and turning on the male and causing injury to one or both of them. |

| I don't think you NEED to breed her. There's to many little yorkies out there that needs a good home. Give her a break! |

Yorkie Yakker | Thank you Thank you everyone for the help. It took 2 of us to hold the female, but we finally made progress. We will take today off and do it again tomorrow, then wait to see if it worked. Thanks again for that link, it helped a lot!! We hope to see your guys at our yorkie meet-up this Sunday at 1pm..... |
