Parti color question?

Can anyone that is breeding the parti-colred yorkies explain why she might not have had any parti-colored yorkies????

How many puppies are in your new litter. Also..since neither of your boy's parents were a parti...what makes you certain he is a carrier? You cannot assume he is a carrier by the amount of white on his chest and toes or that of his puppies. I have a good friend who thought her female could be a carrier by the excessive amount of white she had as a puppy. We bred her to my parti male. No parti's. However, my known parti carrier with less white on her...bred to the same parti had three puppies. Two of them parti's. IMO..it would be very rare for a parti female bred to a parti carrier to not produce at least a parti or two...depending on how many pups are in the litter. I would lean more towards the fact that he is NOT a carrier. JMO

Rain is the daddy he is black and gold"rust" he is a cotton coat and frost is sliver and light tan, and neither of there parents are parti that i no of i will post pictures of mom and dad but im having a little trouble getting around the site still.

my little male pup has white tips pn both of his back feet and had a little on his chest but it is going away could he be a parti carrier? I don't have any parti carriers in my crew's background - but I usually have puppies with white on the chest, that normally fades away by the time they go to their foever home... I don't believe that is any indication of parti carrier - just a common trait. I've heard that pups born with white on their chest will have fuller, longer coats - - but haven't been breeding long enough to prove that true.

Thanks i didnt know this is my first litter of yorkies and we decide to keep "chance" which is our little male in question, because i spent so much time on keeping him alive he is almost 4 weeks old now but the vet said he is not out of the woods yet, she(vet) thinks he should not have made it this far, but with a lot of TLC he is here, but any ways the reason why i ask was because people who wanted one of the girls would ask about his white feet and i would say as far as i know there no parti in his blood line and then i would get the Are you sure look, thanks so much for your help.
