a different heat question So Sasha just turned 2 in October and she is a healthy well fed and cared for little fuzzy... She came into her first heat at the end of November 2008. However, I have seen no sign of a heat cycle since then. I have been patiently waiting and diligently observing for signs of heat. All to no avail... So my question: Is this unusual and should I be concerned about it? Has this ever happened to any of you?

I would say it is very unusual, at least from my experience. What kind of diet is she on?

Yes, this is unusal - if you are sure she has not come into heat but once - last heat at the end of November 2008. I would have her thyroid checked and hormone levels. Go to a specialist or a vet the knows well about this. Many have their areas od specailty. All you have to do is ask your vet and he/she can recommend someone if they do not special in this area. If her levels of off - best to have her spayed.
