Yes, this is unusal - if you are sure she has not come into heat but once - last heat at the end of November 2008. I would have her thyroid checked and hormone levels. Go to a specialist or a vet the knows well about this. Many have their areas od specailty. All you have to do is ask your vet and he/she can recommend someone if they do not special in this area. If her levels of off - best to have her spayed.
