AKC - does home inspections and you can't have mistakes. Plain and simple. You also have to have all your dates right and everyting document.

i have no problem confirming dates i do have paper work

dont they only do inspections when you have certain number pets on the registry? i dont plan on being that big i like no more then 3 or 4 at a time.

Yep, not breeding my girl again either. I do not want to risk it either again. I know - a finished champion and she finished in only 3 weekends with an extra major, but I have to do what is best for her. I would just die if I lost her!

Since you have children I understand your reasoning. However, my reasoning is for the good of the pup......Too many times I've seen pups die at children's hands. By your own post, your kids let the dogs out of the crate, resulting in accidental breedings. I've also seen pups placed with young marrieds and they decide to start their family....the dog is pushed by the way side and ends up in rescue.......I understand children should come first, so it's the breeder's responsibility to place the pup in the best possible circumstances. There are statistics and averages, placing these yorkies in families with small children.

Nope! If you register a litter - have a litter, you can expect them to come by unexpectently at any time. I know, since many of my club members have been inspected and they only have litters occasionally. So you never know. Reason so many millers and BYB go with other registries. They don't want to be inspected and have it be known. And having one litters makes a person a breeder.
At one of my club's meeting we had an AKC rep. come and speak to us. She said expect them at any time. They have a book on line as to the guidelines breeders must follow and they also have the paperwork templates to help breeders document everything. You can use your one documents too to keep breedings and litters straight too. There are programs out there too to help with documentation.

AKC can drop in on you with only one breeding.......

What I meant is about AKC information! Here are some information from AKC as to one thing they look for: American Kennel Club - Regulations for Record Keeping and Identification of Dogs

I hope you go and get help for your girl and not just wait. Please be cautious with your dogs - no more accidents.

i dont have anything to hide i just dont like the idea of someone stopping by..heck there days where if i could id tell hubby to circle the block =)

I agree. Placing a pup is all about what is good for the pup.

I see the end results of poorly placed yorkies day in and day out.

Why people think that pleasing people is more important than the life of a tiny pup is beyond me.

You are going to take Gidget to the vet now. Isn't that reason enough to love YT? Seriously...you have gotten some great advice today! And...if there is a problem with her, you will find out!

i didnt say i didnt love yt

when i was talking about "the site" i meant my website

and the comment that triggered my response what the A LOT OF CONFUSION..thought that was untrue and uncalled for ..the only confusion is i need to confirm delivery dates which i believe the jan 08 is correct

i screen my pups homes and i have contract where the pup is to come back to me if for some reason they can no longer care for it.
