Baxter left today :(

I am sad, yet very happy for Baxter and his new mommy (BaxterIsAwesome ). She drove in from Chicago last night with her hubby and they came over this morning. They stayed and chatted for a while, played, met everyone, and just left with Baxter. I am going to miss the little guy, for sure, but I know he is about to be so spoiled and loved!

I am really glad that Elizabeth and I found each other. I know she is going to be the perfect new puppy mommy! And I know that Baxter is the perfect puppy for her.

Its always when that last puppy leaves ...I suddenly turn into a big ball oh mush and ball my eyes out.It makes it so much easier when they find a great family to love em.Looking forward to getting updates on little baxter!

Oh boy did I cry when they left, but I know both mommy and puppy are very happy! And, we are already planning a visit to meet up again over the summer. Baxter's sister went to Elizabeth's best friend, so I know we will all stay connected! Her being on YT is just an awesome bonus!

Well, they're home! Apparently Baxter threw up a couple of times in the car, but he is doing just fine.

Aw, thanks for the kind words, everyone! I felt just sick over yanking him from his family...and I'm still steeling myself for his first night alone. I was lucky to find Sarah.

I'll be sure to post more pictures soon. There would have been more from the car, but they would have been a little pukey. But it was fine; I calmly scooped up what I could and flung it out the window.

I'm so nervous and excited to have him here! I've been watching out for every little thing he does, but mostly if I leave him alone, he sits on the ground and stares at me until I melt and pet him. Dave and I are so in love!!!

I'm not sure what set up you had in mind but I have found the best success with having a crate by the bedside and when they wimper stick your fingers in so they know they are not alone. The other thing I have is peanut butter chew stix that I put through the crate so they will have something to occupy them. As long as you know they are not wimpering because they have to go potty these seem to work for me and they know they are not alone. Of course his breeder may have given you other suggestions based on how he was kept there.
