Would you experienced breeders please give me your opinion on this thread? I don't want to keep pushing if I'm in the wrong. What this lady is doing really bugs me, though.

Her puppies look healthy and she said it was an unplanned breeding. What do you expect her to do with the pups? The only way to prevent things like this from happening is for breeders to spay and neuter pups before they leave but that does not usually happen, especially when pups are sold at 12 weeks.

She didn't say it was an unplanned breeding until after I had already posted this. I've apologized to her for misunderstanding the situation.

I do agree with you, but when she purchased the dog on a limited registration, in my opinion, it is then her responsibility to live up to her end of the contract by neutering the male at an appropriate age.

I don't think it's fair of you to say that what she is doing is wrong. you don't know her from Adam and yet you assumed that this is a person who is just trying to make a quick buck. And you know what they say about assuming! Besides, don't you think if she was just trying to make money she wouldn't have waited until the male was 6 yrs old to breed him?

And you know her from what? She had an accidental breeding, I get that, but the accident was her fault. She purchased a limited registration male and at six years old, the male should have been neutered a LONG time ago. I know what they say about assuming, I am not assuming anything, this is all things that she stated!

You have to be a donating member to post in the Featured Breeders section plus you have to pay a fee to post there.

Interesting that this is your first post here on YT. And both of your posts have been in support of the person I've been questioning.

I make no apologies for asking the questions I did. If you are comfortable enough with her answers to buy a puppy from her then go for it. It appears you're doing a little 'assuming' of your own!! I would never try to 'bully' someone and prevent a puppy from finding a good home.

In total agreement with you. Had the dog been obtained from me, I'd be marching to her house to pick said dog and the litter that was produced. It's in my contract that dogs must be spay/nuetered and any unplanned breeding the dog and pups will be taken by me.

What's worse is the original seller of the dog did not keep track of the dog to ensure it had been nuetered.
