| I sit on the floor to hold her and if he needs a boost I have him stand on a folded towel. After the get a little experience they figure it out. and they make their own adjustments. But the young guys are just all over the place. I just crate the girl for a couple of hours, and when I take her out he is right after her. |

| They just locked up last night. It's weird because I had left for the store for 15 minutes and they locked up while I was away. My brother had to call me to tell me. After waiting for it to happen for days I missed it. LOL |

I have not been able to get a second tie with mine. Not sure what is going on. Hopefully the one tie I got was at the right time.

| Please make sure that you take precautions to keep them from tying while unsupervised. It could be very dangerous for both your boy and your girl. Ties should always be supervised in a manner that would allow you to get your hands on them in a split second. |

| Yeah. I did not leave them alone. My brother was home the whole time. They "tied" again today. So I should separate them now? What would happen if they "tied" again. I would think the more the better. Please let me know. Thanks |

| The problem with having too many days between the first mating and the last is, any puppies conceived on the last breeding might be underdeveloped. One more time would not hurt, but after that I would not allow it. But twice should be sufficient. |

| For the next time......It is best to have two sets of hands, one to hold and guide the male and the other set to hold and keep the female calm. AKC frowns upon unsupervised unassisted breeding, if they ever came to your home for an inspection, it would be one of their questions and it's a trick question.

And I would not recommend breeding more than 4 days (meaning the last tie should be on Sun at the latest) and allowing them at least 1 of the days between to rest.
