I thought I would set the record straight... I received my little boy from Judy last month and he is beautiful!! He has since been to the vet twice (for a puppy check and his last set of shots) The vet is so impressed with him. In fact one of her comments was his head shape she said his "bite is perfect" She even mentioned unhealthy Yorkies that she has seen where their noses were too pushed in and asked where I got him because his is perfect! I honestly think the wording on Judy's site may be what is making you all think she is one of "those" breeders, but I assure you she is not! Our boy is 41/2 POUNDS and is only 19 weeks!!! And his coat is to die for! He is worth every penny! I hope this sets things right:p |

well, sadly not everyone had an experience like you did....i also know cherry's sisters owner and she also had a bad experience with her....you can go and ask her too....so, I just want to set the record straight acutally!!! |
Fcs precious yorkies is the best by far! Quote:
Lol.............thats funny you say that, because I was just going to write you pay for what you get in life period. Whether it be a gorgeous puppy, house, car etc etc........ You get what you pay for. I put a $1000 down for my FCS PRECIOUS YORKIE & I do not have a worry. I am looking forward to getting my little sweetheart in April 2011. Good things come to those who wait.....hehehehe so excited. Yes! $3500 is a lot BUT you will have them for the rest of your life. I know I am getting a quality yorkie. Money is money who cares seriously. What do you take to your grave? Money? or memories?..............MEMORIES. So live everyday of your life likes its your last. You want that puppy that 3500-400 then buy it :) I will keep you posted with pictures and updates on my little baby :D |
Fcs precious yorkies is the best by far! I get my FCS PRECIOUS YORKIE in April 2011 I am so excited! I know the breeders are great and i will get a quality puppy. You pay for what you get in life period. Whether it be a puppy, house, car, a fabulous dinner etc etc. Its going to cost me more then 3500$ for this little girl of mine because I am going to fly there to get her. There is no way I will let my puppy fly alone especially it being her first time away from her family. Thats terrifying plus its very cold up there. I donno maybe I am being a little overly motherly here but isnt it cold where the puppies have to travel? Isnt it bad for them to go threw that experience? Really it must be so scary I think it would be a safer bet picking them up personally. xo Amber Licious xo |

I'm glad you're flying to get her, but you stated you wouldn't let her fly home alone, would her breeder allow it? |
I agree, I would never recommend a breeder if I hadn't even gotten the dog yet. |

I would never recommend a breeder unless I knew of their breeding practices and breeding practices encompasses more than their dogs are raised in their home and sleep with them. Recommending a breeder is a big responsibility and if something goes wrong, one could be held accountable. |

Lots of red flags on that site. No reputable breeder would ever use a male like Tator for stud. This is not a show dog, show dogs do not have really short legs. He is way too small and those eyes are set too far apart. Dogs and puppies Ihave sold for pet of course all have many champions in their pedigree but that does not mean they themselves are show dogs. If I am lucky I might get one or two show quality in a litter. And what in theheck is a multiple Champion as in describing CH FC's Mia in Control? Usually if a dog has more than one championship it is Canadian Kennel Club and American Kennel club and/or maybe International. This one is not AKC CH. I have seen her dogs, I am not impressed. Inflated prices like that make me feel so ashamed someone in Canada is doing this. |

wud u treat a $3500 pup any different from a $200? probably not sometimes you can get more than what you pay for too. it isn't always the more expensive ones that are worth it. it's just a price she named for some idealistic notion. if i knew a person could take whole hearted care of a yorkie but could only afford half - over a person who had the whole amount that i had doubts about? doesn't really matter in the end. im sure a person could get an equally as beautiful yorkie at a lower price. |
Hmmm...let's recap: Brand new member, digs up an old thread to proclaim that a breeder is the "best by far," although they 1) have not even gotten the dog yet, 2) have put a $3500 deposit on a dog that they have not seen in person (has it even been born yet?) and 3) I'm guessing they have not even met the breeder or seen the facilities in person yet.... And people are supposed to take that kind of feedback seriously? |

Well you know what they say, "A fool and his money are soon parted." |

What is really sad is in checking the Pedigree on one of the dogs.....Somehow this person obtained some really great bloodlines and is capitilizing on them....Sadly she's destroying the line and affecting the health of these pups. Just don't understand people that do this for the almighty dollar. |

It must be so worrisome to be a great breeder and selling your dogs, perhaps getting into the wrong hands such as this situation and ruining all your hard work. |

update? Did the OP end up buying a pup from this breeder? |
Bad experience with FC's Precious Yorkies I got a male from Judy Dostal in 2010. I was specific about what I expected but she was deceptive. Once she got the money, it was very difficult to contact her. After I got my puppy, my vet asked for the health information and I in turn asked for the health record from Judy Dostal and was eventually told a letter would be put in the mail. When the letter did not arrive, I email again, was told he was dewormed. I queried re vacations. Her response was blunt to say the least. I would never consider doing business with this individual again and would strongly advise others against it. It is apparent that money is the driving motivation. |

After all this time here's the story... I got a beautiful male who after months just got too big to breed. This little guy has been neutered and is now living with another family. I did not decide to get a "replacement" puppy because I found it difficult to contact Judy... Since then she has "compensated" me for some of my financial loss. So in the end here is my OPINION... I believe she does care for her dogs, she is not very good with people skills, she is busy, the dog we got is perfectly healthy and happy with an amazing temperament, her prices are high. I hope this helps even though it has taken me so long. In the end my advice is to go with a breeder you can talk to, someone who will give you their time and care. Please know I do not wish to bash Judy I simply want to give others my honest perception. Good luck to all |

As I said over and over....if you encounter a breeder that will sell you on open registration without truely knowing you or mentoring you every step of the way, run the other way and fast. |
I bought a pet male off of her in december, and after i got him she has never sent any vet records or paperwork that she said she would. All she would tell me is that his shots were due. This dog was a year old, and my vets says yes he's around that, she told me 4.5 pds,but he was very underweight. It has been about 2 months and he has gained almost 2 pds, and his a happy little fellow. Although he has a badly deformed hind foot, she did not tell me about this, and certainly knew about this as his one toenail grows up and backwards, and the other toes are badly splayed out, and the toenails are straight out. There is no way not to notice this when you trim his toenails. She told me that she imported him from Korea and that he had grown too large for her breeding program, not that he is deformed !! And i do still have the emails from her saying that he had no health issues at all, if she would like to call me a liar, maybe deformities are not heath issues to her.......... |

I did sign a contract to neuter, but she never sent me the copy that she said she would. I am very unhappy with the treatment i have gotten, her refusal to give vet records leads me to believe that he has never seen a vet ! And her excuse for the other paperwork not being given to me was and i quote " its in korean so you wouldn't understand it....In the big scheme i don't care that much, he is healthy now and the foot shouldn't be a problem for him, although he favors it. Just letting others know of my experience so they can beware, and thanks for the info JOanne |
