| some advice please if maggie is pregnant she would be 4 weeks, her nipples are quite large she looks rounder however her vigina still looks the same as all you lovely people are very experienced breeders i wondered if you had any thoughts on this, i have read that her vigina will puff up to maybe 5 times it's normal size, now she is acting a bit strange more clingy eaing more ( like a horse) when she stretchs up up on you her belly and nipples look a bit blooted but i have measured her tum from her last rib and it's still 12 cm and not gotten any bigger any ideas anyone?? please reply thanks, Adrianne x Last edited by adrianne; 09-03-2009 at 12:01 PM. |

| You could take her in to the vet now. He should be able to palpate the pups and/or do an ultrasound to see the puppies at this stage. Xrays are usually a little later around 45 days. She is right at the stage now that she may start to gain weight (usually @ 4 weeks into it).

X-ray will give a clearer pic of skeletal structure and approximately how many she's carrying.....now, there could be one hiding....so, don't be surprised if one or two more are born.[/QUOT had to look the meaning up on internet lol i stood her up like you said and her tummy does seem to be bulging out a bit and her nipples are protruding and quite swollen when she's running around her rib cage seems to be a bit bigger she's a real pet now always following me everywere she never did that before i'll take your advice and keep a good eye on her and go for the x ray it's just worrying for me i dont want anything to happen to her she'a a sweetie thankyou very much for replying i really do appreciate it xx |
