Some beeders are not placing pups until 16 weeks. Or requesting that they bring the puppy back for their final vaccination.

I also wanted other breeders advice as to the legality of the shots administered by someone who is not a legal vet such as the breeder.

I am a small in home breeder and all of my puppies have been sold to my friends and family. The feedback that I have gotten is that when the puppies are taken to the vet my friends/family are told that the shots are not legal since they are not administered by the vet and they are giving them the shots again which is double dosing the puppies. How can this be avoided or how do you all handle this issue?

I always let the buyer know what shots the pup has had and I tell them to do a follow up with their vet.

I am not a breeder but a pet owner and My breeder gave some vaccinations and my vet made them have them again. If I was as educated then as I am now i would have never let him do it

Shots are legal. If the vet is insisting on giving the shots again, they are doing more detriment to the immune system and only wanting to administer themselves for money. I'd find another vet.

The only shots required by law is rabies. Those must be administered by a licensed vet.
