| LilDaisy.com ? Has anyone bought their yorkie from LilDaisy.com ? At first, I thought he only sold Chihuahuas, but then I kept searching for Yorkie breeders and he also sells Yorkies. LilDaisy.com/yorkie.html Then a few days ago, out of curiousity, I did a search with his website and poodles, and it seems as though HE ALSO sells Poodles! LilDaisy.com/poodle.html What kind of questions should I ask him? I don't think I'll be getting my Yorkie from him, but overall, what kind of specific questions should I ask a Yorkie breeder?

| You should always ask about the health guarantee, how their puppies are raised, at what age do they let them go, how big are the parents, etc. What are you looking for in a yorkie......do you want a small yorkie under 5 lbs or is size important to you? What type of coat do you expect your yorkie to have? Of course many breeders will just tell you anything to sell a puppy so it is advisable to study the breed and take your time. If you are looking for a pup from a reputable breeder then you might go to the YTCA website to find a breeder near you. Most people don't have much luck there but it does not hurt to try. Good luck in your search. I forgot to add that this website Teacup Yorkie Puppies for Sale | Breeder | CA does advertise teacup yorkies and that is frowned upon by the YTCA. |

| Thank you for your response. He offers a 1 year health guarantee. I just get a bad vibe from this breeder. I am looking for a Yorkie that is between 4 - 5 lbs. The color doesn't matter to me. I have contacted all the breeders from YTCA that I found to be near me, but haven't gotten much of a response. I also posted a thread here, but I haven't gotten any responses either.

I know your preferance is 4 - 5 pounds, weight can never be predicted. However, if that is your requirement then I'd wait and get an older puppy 6 to 7 months. At that time you can more readily see what the puppy will look like.

Be comfortable with your breeder and ask many questions. I prefer a breeder that will guarnatee for more than 2 years on their yorkies. I'd run from any breeder that only offers a 72 hour guarntee or shorter. I also would be wary of a 1 year guarntee myself but of course that is just me personally. I hope this helps in some way Donna | |

| Out of curiousity, I asked to see photos of his Chihuahuas, and he gave me the following links: Photo Sharing by MyPhotoAlbum.com :: Richard's MyPhotoAlbum :: Teacup Chihuahuas Photo Sharing by MyPhotoAlbum.com :: MyPhotoAlbum :: Chihuahuas toy size Photo Sharing by MyPhotoAlbum.com :: MyPhotoAlbum :: tiny toys Is it me, or do some of these puppies look a bit ... deformed? One of the puppies has one blue eye. I've never heard of that. As for the yorkies, he'll just send you attached photos to his response.

| I'm definately willing to develop a relationship with the breeder. Only 1 breeder responded to me from YTCA. No one else has responded.. at all and it's been weeks. I'll keep waiting.

| I don't know exactly where in California you are but have you thought about attending some dog shows in your area? Sometimes you can meet exhibitors from your area and it could be very educational also. They might be willing to recommend someone to you. Are you looking strictly for a pet that will be neutered or spayed? |

Remember if and when you make contact with one of these breeders there will be a two way question and answer session. Most have strict regulations on who they will place a puppy with....

| Thank you all for responding. I live in San Pedro, CA. So, I was looking for a breeder who's in the Southern part of CA. I want to be able to visit a few times before actually deciding to buy from them. I'm looking for a female Yorkie as a family member. I don't intend to breed her either, so yes she will be spayed. I'm opening up a small puppy clothing line in memory of Mia, my yorkie who passed away 3 years ago (this month).. so most likely my new Yorkie will be a model for the clothing pieces.

| I never thought about attending a show! Wow, thanks! How can I get more information about the show in Torrance? I'm open to answer all the questions necessary. I'm even open to having them visit my home. I posted a link on a previous post showing the chihuahuas that LilDaisy.com had, they looked a bit deformed and one his puppies even had ONE blue colored eye. I don't know why it didn't show up. He seems to be getting his puppies (Chihuahuas, Yorkies & Poodles) from a puppy mill... I wanted to give people a heads up.
