Yorkie Talker | Undescended Testicles....help!!! Could somebody please help me. I bought a puppy with the desire to breed him. He is now 7 months old, and his testicles have not yet dropped. I have heard so many different things from many different breeders. I have been told that they should of been dropped at 3 months, I have been told to wait a year. When I took him to the vet at 4 months, she said he only had 1, but it was up inside. Sometimes I think I feel one, but then he sucks it back in quickly!!! He also is not marking anything yet. Aren't they suppose to do that by now? I would appreciate any help anyone out there could give me. Thanks |

| I would not be concerned. There is still time. You don't want to breed a 7 month old yorkie anyway

| Others may have had different experiences, but I have never had a male puppy that I couldn't feel both testicles in there by the age of 3 months when I let them go to their new homes. Now they don't have a full descended "sac" at this point, but I have always been able to feel them in there. They normally have the full matured sac by 6-8 months. This has been MY experience but others may have different ones. Also a vet should be able to feel them by that age as well. If you can feel one in there even if it moves back up, then it is descended, but he only has one and I'll bet the other is retained. If that's true then he should not be used for breeding and should be neutered.
