| Well, you have to put time into it if you consider the time and money spent on medical testing for the stud to begin with. Plus, usually, you only get a stud fee IF a litter is produced. So no, you don't always get your money up front, no questions asked. |

The reason behind this is the dam could be barren. Now that being said, usually with a first time stud, you don't charge a stud fee, after all he hasn't been proven.
