glenda beaver's pups? Well a fellow breeder sent this to me since I was checking into some of Glenda Beaver's pups. I was thinking of purchasing a male. Anyone know if this has an validity to it? Thanks! Yorkies.Com Kids BreedersDtoI |
go up above to search and put in glenda beavers, you will find a lot of threads on her, I would steer clear of her myself |
no doubt about it, her yorkies are BEAUTIFUL!!! i mean really gorgeous. however as the previous poster stated, based on things found out about her, i would never ever buy a pup from her. JMO |
I would have no problem buying a puppy from Glenda. She has wonderful puppies and MANY people have bought them with no health problems or problems of any kind. She is a reputable breeder and has a great reputation as an exhibitor/breeder of Yorkies. |
I personally would not buy a dog from glenda and I felt this way before glenda admitted herself to being involved in supplying a petstore with puppies. That really sealed the deal with me - that she would be involved in the petstore business in any way. |

You know, I've always thought it was the mantra of reputable show breeders to "never buy from a pet store or to supply a pet store with puppies". So, I'm at a loss to understand how any reputable breeder could recommend Glenda after being made aware that she has supplied a pet store with puppies? To the OP - yes it has validity. I don't know if her practices have changed since she was exposed on YT. |
It depends on what YOU are looking for in a Yorkshire Terrier. Are you looking for pet, breeder or show dog? I own a Glenda Beaver Yorkie which was purchased for showing. She has a lot of the old lines in her pedigree which is what I wanted. She is absolutely gorgious and I can't wait to show her. YOU decide what YOU want to do. Talk to Glenda. She is one tough cookie with her Yorkies. And, I know all about the other thread. Didn't stop me. Good luck. |
I was really disappointed when I read about her involvement with selling puppies to petstores. I myself won't even step foot in a store that sells puppies. I definitely wouldn't support a breeder who sells to a pet store whether she still does it or not. It's a shame really, because she does have beautiful Yorkies. |
Personally, I would never knowingly buy from or support any pet store or any breeder that has turned their own or any other breeders dogs over to a pet store. It wouldn't matter to me if they did it once or a number of times. I don't care if they made money or if it was a favor. There are alot of beautiful Yorkies out there and many that come from reputable breeders! |
Ok I have read enough. Thanks for the information. I have standards I have to live with myself on as well, so I'll keep that choice to myself. I appreciate all the info and I am going to request this post be closed if possible so it doesn't turn into a debate LOL |

Glenda DID NOT sell any off HER puppies to a pet store. It was never made PERFECTLY clear, but she was doing friends a favor. This does not reflect on how great HER puppies are and what kind of breeder she is. |

If you go to Carolyn's site, Genisis, she states that Glenda helped her get started ( or restarted) in her breeding program of yorkies.... but if you google Carolyn's name there are a LOT of sick pups coming from her breedings .... What exactly is the connection?...Am I missing something? |
